These cables from Monoprice appear to be well made with quality materials. Unlike cheaper cables that are often times ill fitting, i.e., too loose and need to be pinched a bit with pliers to stay put, these fit snugly and maintain the connection well. I would recommend these even at thrice the price!
Awesome prices for quality merchandise! Came highly recommended by an IT Geek I trust or I would've thought it was too good to be true! You can order with confidence! (And I probably now own the coolest colored charging cords on the whole block! LOVE the purple and the blue! ;) )
My children often neglect to charge their tablets when they aren't using them and end up using the tablets while tethered to the charger. The cables that they use don't seem to last for more than a few weeks. Of the dozen or so cables that I bought 9 months ago, less than half of them still reliably work.
Additionally, when using these cables with a QuickCharge compatible charger, the charge time doesn't seem much different than using other 2.4A chargers. The device recognizes the QuickCharge connection (or TurboPower in my case). Apparently the conductors are too small in these cables to carry the increased QuickCharge amperage though.
With several family members using numerous devices that use micro usb cables I have a constant need for new ones. Some are lost but more just quit working. The ones from Monoprice last as well but no better than those from other sources. I do like the different lengths and colors. And they are generally less expensive, especially if combined with a larger order to lessen the shipping cost one gets when ordering just the cables.
