My first time with flat cables. Seems a good way. Nicely made, like the gray color. Plugs seem to be sturdily attached. The 4' is a nice option at 1/3 longer than most. Will they hold up as long as some high quality braided cables I have, can't say, but these were a great value and should serve me well.
So far a really nice cable. Appears well made and certainly tough. I have had problems in the past with several other brands of cables, including Monoprice, where the cover on either connector end would slip back. Let’s see how this one holds up.
The armrest/center console hides the USB and A/C connectors I use to connect my iPhone to the car's audio system. This Buick LaCrosse has an oblong slot through which and wire or cable needs to pass to the device. Round wires, such as that which Apple supplies as a power connector, get pinched by the armrest arrangement and eventually erode the insulation. The Cabernet flat wire has solved the pinching problem. I now have a perfect fit.
PROS: I have always been more than satisfied with Monoprice's variety of products, their speedy shipping and low, low prices. Their great return policy is insurance against getting a product that might not be the right fit for a particular need.
