BEST ANSWER: These earbuds can be use with any device which utilized a 3.5mm headphone jack. Older iPhones have a 3.5mm jack, while the newer iPhones don’t, so you will need a lightning to 3.5mm adapter for the newer iPhones.

The description makes me ask if these produce sound that others can hear. In other words, do they work in a way similar to open-back headphones that allow others nearby to hear what you are listening to? When I use earbuds in public, I want privacy and do not want sound to leak out for others to hear.

These earbuds do NOT leak sound to others (hard to be sure, because I'm wearing them, not listening to someone else without mine inserted, but no one has ever mentioned hearing what I am). But they are basically like any other earbud with a foam piece that smooshes tightly into the ear canal. You don't hear outside noise unless it is loud (phone ringing, doorbell, car horn). The construction is supposed to bounce the sound off the back wall and then direct it back toward your eardrum. The actual distance is tiny, but apparently enough to gain some advantage. They work well, have decent bass, and will eventually die (one side stops working), but are cheap enough to repurchase. While they work, they are a very good value-for-money earbud--easy to insert, long-enough cord, tangle free, attractive, and the sound is surprisingly good--more than you would expect from such a reasonable price point.

I've been REALLY happy with these. I used them for my old iPhone but stopped using them with my iPhone 7, but only because I bought a pair of wireless Bluetooth 'phones for that since the iPhone plug changed. I use the 'phones you asked about when playing my guitars, keyboards, bass, etc. and get GREAT SOUND, none of which comes from my wife complaining it's too loud. :)
Can't beat the price, either!

BEST ANSWER: The single button controller will pause playback when pushed. This will also answer an incoming call. Call is ended and playback will resume when pushed again. Works with Apple® also.

BEST ANSWER: I have not seen where Monoprice offers replacement tips. However, I have used tips from both Radio Shack and Comply Foam and both fit. (The Comply Foam ones are more expensive but vastly superior.)

Great for the money
For the cost, you can't beat these earbuds. Can't say they're hifi, but they sound good, and I won't be concerned about losing them as I always seem to do eventually.

Great sounding ear buds!
Better sounding than most cheap ear buds. Working fine, my wife is happy! She noticed a difference in sound quality.

Seriously Impressive
I have been in the business of selling high-end audio for over 20 years. People speak of the law of diminishing returns in audio products, and I suspect you would have to spend much more to hear a slight improvement over these inexpensive earbuds. These are my second pair of Monoprice earbuds (I lost the others), and I am seriously impressed with the quality of Monoprice earbuds, especially these.

3rd pair. I run sound at our church. Have a decent ear for sound quality. These little guys really pull through. For the price, havent seen a better quality for money match. This is my third pair. 1st lasted for years. 2nd I lost.

Well worth the price
I like these earbuds; they have better fidelity than my old ones, and are significantly more efficient (putting out more loudness--I don't need to set my phone's sound level as high with these).

These sound fantastic. They also seem to stay in place better than other earbuds. Unfortunately I seem to have lost my second pair. Probably should buy more before posting this review?
