Bought my first Monoprice power bank about a year ago and it's still going strong. Used it on short trips, going out, or any time I'm away from home and its simply a great device. Recommended to friends and family and have now purchased the 8000 mAh version a 2nd time and my friend is thrilled with it. Also have purchased 3 other Monoprice power banks of the 16,000 mAh capacity which are incredibly durable and reliable as well. The Best!!!
PROS: Charges 2 devices at a time, durable, fast and slow charging, great pricing and reliable even after I dropped it once before but did not hinder its functionality.
CONS: None, except if you let it charge out/die all the way, it could take up to 15 hours to recharge fully.
This is the first unsatisfactory experience I have ever had with Monoprice. This device does not appear to output any power on USB. I took it on a trip with me prior to realizing it was broken, and it really let me down when I needed it. I have tried multiple cables, verified that it was completely charged, and I believe this device was completely DOA. I have purchased several other Monoprice chargers over the years that have worked well, so I am hoping this one is only a fluke. It's been 4 days since I opened the RMA request and I still haven't heard from Monoprice. I would suggest a different charger.
I have had this charger for just under a year now. I bought it because I travel a fair amount and outlets can be scarce at airports (especially when all the flights get delayed). I was very happy with the purchase for the first 6 months or so as it was a very handy backup. However the last 3 months I have noticed a significant decline in the amount of time which the unit will hold a charge without being used. Unless I remember to charge it every few days it really doesn't have a purpose at this point. It showed good promise initially but unfortunately I don't even bother to take it with me on trips any longer as it has become unreliable and disappointing.
I've had this for almost 3 months now and it hasn't gotten any better. I thought a few life cycles would bring it back but it won't hold a charge for more than 1-2 days. When I need it, it is completely dead. What's the point in having a backup battery if you have to charge it before you can use it?
PROS: Small size, 1 or 2 amp ports.
CONS: Will not hold a charge, isn't there for you when you need it most.
Thank you for your review and my apologies for the issues you have experienced with PID 10392. Unfortunately, it sounds like you may have received a defective product. Now if you’d like, I can help setup an RMA for a replacement. If you would like me to proceed with the RMA, just let me know and I can get this started right away. I would just need to confirm the shipping address. Sorry again for the trouble and hope this helps!

works fine, as advertised
Bought it for my wife, she has used it once or twice
PROS: She likes having the security of portable power
CONS: She says its heavy, and takes up too much space in a clutch when she's steppin out
