8-Watt (60W Equivalent) A 19 LED Bulb, 685 Lumens, Cool/ Daylight (5400K) - Non-Dimmable
Get a longer lasting, safe, and affordable alternative to incandescent or CFL light bulbs using this 8-watt A19 LED Bulb from Monoprice!
This 120-volt bulb uses only 8 watts of power, but produces 685 lumens of light energy at 5400K, equivalent to a standard 60-watt incandescent bulb. It uses the E26 "medium" Edison screw base, which is the standard home screw-in bulb type we're all used to. This indoor bulb is 2-1/8" in diameter and 4-1/2" tall.
The bulb features a shatter resistant polycarbonate lens, which is designed to withstand ordinary drops and falls, and a 100% aluminum heat sink. The bulb uses the superior Japanese-made Nichia diodes, is rated for up to 40,000 hours of use before failure, and carries a three year replacement warranty.
The bulb generates light in the 5400K range (Color Rendering Index 73), which is a cool, bluish light that is perfect for high-visibility illumination needs, such as in a workshop or bathroom. This bulb is not designed to be dimmable. While it may be physically dimmed in some light fixtures, doing so can damage the bulb's internal circuitry and severely reduce its expected life span.
Monoprice warrants these bulbs for a full THREE (3) YEARS and will provide a new replacement for any bulbs that fail due to defects in materials or workmanship during the warranty period.
Considering the two replacements are going strong, I think it was just a matter of a bad shipment from the producer.
Overall experience with Monoprice was great and definitely staying on as a customer. Won't buy LED bulbs from the site though :)
PROS: Awesome white light when they lasted ... Definitely lower power consumption.
A definite pro, though not for the product, was the support I received from Monoprice on the first RMA. Monoprice was prompt in addressing my concern, and I consider that its not their fault that the whole batch was duds.
CONS: Not so awesome when they did not .... Light changed from white to a very irritating strong blue hue very quickly and there was a significant delay (around 5 seconds) in coming up.
PROS: looks well made
CONS: light is more toward the blue spectrum and is not quite the equivalent of 60 watts.
PROS: Well made, durable
CONS: a little softer than a regular 60w bulb
PROS: Save money
CONS: Does not fill the space with light as a normal incandescent bulb or a CFL.
PROS: very bright, clean light.I love the white light way more than the orangeish color of warm white bulbs. low power consumption as with all LED bulbs
CONS: looks like an LED bulb. not really a con but I had to type something.
Lower power, low heat
CONS: Full two second delay before they turn on
CONS: Like so many other LED Bulbs, these have a blueish cast.
PROS: The 5400K 'cool daylight' is a match for my Phillips daylight bulbs. Price was about 35% cheaper than the other bulbs.
CONS: Huge delay when turning on - unacceptable. Considering RMA for them due to this delay.
