    8-Watt (60W Equivalent) A 19 LED Bulb, 685 Lumens, Cool/ Daylight (5400K) - Non-Dimmable

Get a longer lasting, safe, and affordable alternative to incandescent or CFL light bulbs using this 8-watt A19 LED Bulb from Monoprice!

This 120-volt bulb uses only 8 watts of power, but produces 685 lumens of light energy at 5400K, equivalent to a standard 60-watt incandescent bulb. It uses the E26 "medium" Edison screw base, which is the standard home screw-in bulb type we're all used to. This indoor bulb is 2-1/8" in diameter and 4-1/2" tall.

The bulb features a shatter resistant polycarbonate lens, which is designed to withstand ordinary drops and falls, and a 100% aluminum heat sink. The bulb uses the superior Japanese-made Nichia diodes, is rated for up to 40,000 hours of use before failure, and carries a three year replacement warranty.

The bulb generates light in the 5400K range (Color Rendering Index 73), which is a cool, bluish light that is perfect for high-visibility illumination needs, such as in a workshop or bathroom. This bulb is not designed to be dimmable. While it may be physically dimmed in some light fixtures, doing so can damage the bulb's internal circuitry and severely reduce its expected life span.

I got 6 of these bulbs from Monoprice after reading good reviews on white LED bulbs and as a regular Monoprice customer decided to get them off the site. The shipment was fast and I received the entire order in no time. I have never have had an issue with any product from Monoprice but these bulbs were a problem from day one. The first two I set up had a huge blue hue, and I approached Monoprice immediately and got a replacement. The new bulbs sent out worked perfectly and are still going strong. The other four (from the original batch) had the same issue, and Monoprice again was prompt to issue a RMA but I just did not have the energy anymore (too much hassle and too much paperwork) to ship them from Canada to USA.

Considering the two replacements are going strong, I think it was just a matter of a bad shipment from the producer.

Overall experience with Monoprice was great and definitely staying on as a customer. Won't buy LED bulbs from the site though :)

PROS: Awesome white light when they lasted ... Definitely lower power consumption.

A definite pro, though not for the product, was the support I received from Monoprice on the first RMA. Monoprice was prompt in addressing my concern, and I consider that its not their fault that the whole batch was duds.

CONS: Not so awesome when they did not .... Light changed from white to a very irritating strong blue hue very quickly and there was a significant delay (around 5 seconds) in coming up.

    led 60 watt bulb
    4/5

    PROS: looks well made

CONS: light is more toward the blue spectrum and is not quite the equivalent of 60 watts.

    Great bulb for bathroom
I bought these to get a more natural light in the bathroom for my wife (for applying makeup), and she is very happy with them so that's good enough for me - if she's happy, I'm happy!

    PROS: Well made, durable

CONS: a little softer than a regular 60w bulb

    Not the same as incandescent
This is a very white light. The illumination comes from the top of the bulb forward not 360 degrees as incandescent and CFL. It works, but you have to consider the application you will use it for.

    PROS: Save money

CONS: Does not fill the space with light as a normal incandescent bulb or a CFL.

    great bulbs
these bulbs are bright and clean and some of the cheapest I have found anywhere.

PROS: very bright, clean light.I love the white light way more than the orangeish color of warm white bulbs. low power consumption as with all LED bulbs

CONS: looks like an LED bulb. not really a con but I had to type something.

    Great price, awful CRI
A great color temp (5400K), but terrible color accuracy (CRI 73). Currently LED A19 bulbs are around 80CRI with a few 90+. If more people knew about CRI they wouldn't think about having any with a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 73. Shame on Monoprice even though their new webpage on mobile is great.

    Delay Makes These Worthless
These look like otherwise great light bulbs, but the delay just makes them unbearable. I have tried them for a couple of weeks thinking I might get used to them, but a full two second delay is just unusable. Every time I turn on the light I have to remember to stop and wait for the lights to turn on so I can actually start walking.

    PROS: Bright

    Lower power, low heat

CONS: Full two second delay before they turn on

    LED Bulbs
The color of the light is different from the Soft white Fluoesent I am replacing

    PROS: inexpensive

CONS: Like so many other LED Bulbs, these have a blueish cast.

Decent bulbs, great price - horrible delay
Purchased 6 of these to complement my other 'daylight' Phillips brand bulbs. Color and brightness is a spot on match. If there wasn't such a delay when turning on these would be awesome.

PROS: The 5400K 'cool daylight' is a match for my Phillips daylight bulbs. Price was about 35% cheaper than the other bulbs.

CONS: Huge delay when turning on - unacceptable. Considering RMA for them due to this delay.
