Monoprice’s line of Professional Audio cables brings you high performance cables at rock bottom prices. Whether you’re connecting broadcast equipment, instruments for your band or your high end entertainment system, Monoprice has the interconnect cables for you.
Balanced audio cables utilize impedance balanced lines that reduce EM and RF noise and extend the effective range of the cable run. Additionally, unlike standard unbalanced RCA interconnects that utilizes their braid as a signal return, balanced cables have a separate braided shield to provide additional resistance to interference without modulating the interference into the signal. This prevents ground loop issues.
Our XLR male to female cables continue our tradition of bringing the highest quality cables at the best prices. These cables feature thick, heavy gauge wires, gold plated connectors and sturdy connector housings.
- 16AWG Stranded Copper Wire Conduits.
- 97.5% Shielded Balanced Connections
- Gold Plated Connectors
- Metallic Graphite Colored Connector Housings
- Molded Strain Relief Boots.
PROS: I never give 10's. So the very best 9/10 - not just for the price, but real, practical and well build wires and cables.
CONS: I know of no cons, a great company, backs their products.
PROS: These cables are so unbelievable price/performance someone should shoot my face and wake me up.
Cannot find a better value than these anywhere!
PROS: Great cable quality, awesome connectors.
The heavy gauge (16awg) wire is formidable, which could be a plus or possibly a minus, as the robustness that would be great for handling abuse, may make it unwieldy patching together a dense rack or where the weight of the cable hanging might pull something lightweight and smooth off a table, which I could see happening more with the 6ft cable (the 3 ft having less hanging weight).
These cables are great though. I have wired up a home studio with these and the TRS cables with no reliability or noise issues. I couldn't see why it would be necessary to get anything fancier.
PROS: Reliable, heavy duty, good strain relief, unusual connectors make it easy to spot with other people's cables.
CONS: Supreme heaviness of cable could be an issue for some applications
PROS: Well constructed, good flexibility, great pricing.
CONS: But check the screws
I must say i had my doubts when a friend advised me to buy from MP.
He has experience in hifi for over 40 years and for over 20 years.
I have two pair of XLR that i used before for stereo music listening with my Krell FPB600 and Perreaux Preamp and Perraux CD.
One of the pairs is 3ft Wireworld Starlight Gold that cost $2000 here in Sweden.
The other pair is a rare silver cable, custom made 3ft and cost $3500/pair.
Tell you what.. I can NOT hear any difference between the Wireworld Cable. Its amazing, just amazing.
Ive told all i know where to buy cables from now on :)
Works fantastic on my 2 setups of Sunfire XT series and Onkyo PR-SC5509 prepro.
PROS: Read the review.
CONS: None what so ever!
