High quality, but annoying to wrap up
The cables are great in terms of audio quality, durability, shielding, etc., but are annoying to wrap up due to the fact that they coil in a very particular way (as stiff cloth often does). After you've owned them for a little while, they will start to develop some kinks if you are often wrapping and unwrapping them (i.e. using them live as opposed to in a studio setting). especially difficult if you play venues and have fast switch overs and a few of these to wrap up. Would highly recommend for setups where you won't be doing a ton of rapid wrapping and rewrapping, but other monoprice cables beat them for live use.

    PROS: -High quality

    -Well shielded

    -Minimizes interference

-Equally as good if not better than name brands (yes, I have done comparisons)

    CONS: -Difficult to wrap up

-Gets kinks with time and speedy pack up jobs

    Cable may be defective
I bought this cable to bring into a recording studio session, because of its flexible, cloth wrap and gold connectors. Plus, I've had really superior experience with all previous Monoprice cable connections compared to competition at any price. Sorry to say, this cable failed when it really needed to perform. Studio engineer confirmed a failure. Even cheap Hosa replacements were used in its place. Not happy about this.

    Nice cable
The cable is nice and long. I bought this to use in my studio where my amp is in a seperate room and I need to move around. This is a cheaper way out of using wireless. (and the last wireless I had caused some noice in recording).

The cable is nicely constructed and seems to be heavy-duty enough to last a while. The cloth wrapping makes the cable easy to handle and roll up.

PROS: Long / nicely constructed ends

    CONS: noone found yet.

Does What It's Supposed to Do
It works. No interference from other electronic devices. No other problems. Looks beautiful and appears durable. We use it to connect a microphone's wireless receiver to a sound mixer. The group leader uses the wireless mic so that people who join online have good audio. We use table mics for participants in the room. The cable is not permanently attached to a wall because the room arrangement is subject to change. Have no problem coiling up the cable for storage each week. Just wind it in the direction of its natural tendency and leave it on the shelf until the next session.

Pretty Nice Cable for the $$$
Despite lacking of the metal end covers like the other 1/4" pro cables MP carries, these are still great cables provided you are looking for a cloth covered cable. I know a lot of folks like cloth because they tend to lay flatter easier while playing. Until recently, you have to go to the evil empire of guitar retailers to buy cables like this at easily 3 to 4 times the price. These are a great alternative and worth every penny.

PROS: Much cheaper than competitors for a quality cable.

    No noise on this cable.

    Quality solder joints.

CONS: Doesn't have the metal end covers like the other pro audio 1/4" cables. (not really a con in some cases, but trying to be objective)

    everything audio
We love monoprice for the beyond reasonable pricing (in fact, it's not reasonable, it's appropriate pricing...fair...what we ought to expect as consumers). What is oft overlooked is the actual quality found in their products. I get ALL my studio cables, guitar cables, audio..etc and the comparable items purchased at wally world or radio shack are jokes in comparison. MP's cables are wildly more durable, heavier construct, the soldering is cleaner and just all in all better than most out there.

    PROS: great construct/quality

    CONS: nothing

    Great buy
For the price you can't beat the quality of these cables. I've bought multiple lengths of this style and outside of the gold and black being a bit odd (I'd personally prefer a plain black cable) I can't think of a single negative. You will want to note that as noted in the description this cable is indeed what you want for connection directly to instruments. I had someone grab another speaker cable (http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=115&cp_id=11509&cs_id=1150901&p_id=4796&seq=1&format=2) and try to plug in a mic but it would give a low hum when switched off. This is clearly explained on the product page and is important to note.

PROS: -Available in a variety of lengths

    -No noticeable interference

    -Very solid tips/ends

    -Great price

CONS: Personally the black and gold is a bit of a negative I would prefer plain black.
