    Microphone Clip (30mm)

Keep your mic firmly in place on the stand, yet ready for easy removal at any time, with this 30mm Microphone Clip from Monoprice!

This plastic mic clip has an inside diameter of 30mm, which is ideal for holding standard vocal microphones, such as our Dynamic Vocal Microphone PID 600020. The plastic has sufficient flexibility to provide a solid pressure grip on the mic handle. The clip mounts to a stand using a standard US 5/8" screw thread.

well... it holds a mic... sort of...
as other reviews stated, this will not work for a SM57-style microphone.

even a larger mic, like a SM58, sits too far back into the clip to be used for vocals. it would work for recording purposes, but the clip itself isn't sturdy enough to hold a mic upside-down for overhead recording.

    PROS: cheap

CONS: not for every mic, flimsy

    Rock Band friendly
While jamming on Rock Band, I quickly realized I couldn't drum or play guitar while simultaneously singing... unless someone was there to hold the microphone for me for the entire set. To fix this, I found a cheap microphone stand and a boom setup for when I wanted to switch between guitar and drum, but noticed they didn't come with their own mic holders. This was answered by my actual music friends: microphones come with their own cradles.

After checking around, I found this 30mm clip. I wasn't even sure if it'd be up to the job, but I was willing to take the risk. Glad I did, and I ordered a second one soon after.

PROS: Economic price, fits the Rock Band microphone perfectly.

CONS: Not for every microphone, not meant for heavy partying.

Mic clips do what they'r supposed to.
I've only used with Monoprice dynamic mics but so far so good. I seem to misplace them so having a few extra won't break the bank.

    PROS: Cheap and solid.

    CONS: None.

Inexpensive and easy to use. 3/8" base so they will work with their mic stands. You get what you pay for they work and if they break it's no big deal.

PROS: Inexpensive, able to hold a variety of mics safely

CONS: poorly constructed, the bottom screw mount fell out of one while mounting so I just pushed it back in.

I bought these clips with a couple boom mic stands. The clips aren't strong enough to hold the mic when I angle them slightly downward to capture audio. The mics slide right out of the clips. I had to wrap the mic cables around the boom to keep it from sliding out. Not happy with that since now my cables are having to support the mic weight and will fail sooner. The clips support the mic, but they by no means hold them, and the mics don't "clip" into them. My initial setup with these is with a monoprice mic, stand, and clip.

PROS: Low cost, Works to hold microphone while its in an upright position.

CONS: Flimsy, unable to support microphone weight if microphone is in any position other than vertical.
