PROS: This stand is hands down the best lighting tree you can get for the money. This is my 10 tree i have owned and i would highly recommend it. It comes with 4 wing nut bolts to mount your fixtures, so no need to buy a C-clamp. This stand goes higher then i needed it, the stand is very light and easily moved around but yet strong in case of high winds.
CONS: I had an extra bolt in my box, but that ended up being an positive thing.
PROS: Very sturdy, professional stand.
CONS: It's much bigger, and less portable than I thought.
PROS: works great
PROS: Tall, Heavy Duty
PROS: Standard 1.5" diameter
Truly tall at 12.5'
CONS: Missing a nut
PROS: The stand can get very tall, and is the best stand for the price.
CONS: The top part of the stand that has to be used with the cross bar is only about 3 feet long, and pretty much has to be used with the extender middle section all the time to get lights over the crowd's head
PROS: Seems to be solid. Lightweight. Easy to use. Price was what really sold us.
CONS: Noe that I've seen so far
The main knob on the stand broke already and I haven't even gigged with the stand yet. I turn the knob, but the bold/screw doesn't turn. It's stripped in the knob or something. Not sure how to fix it. I think that one part will need to be replaced. The stand is still useable. There's a metal pin that stops the stand from collapsing. The downside is that the to half of the stand isn't stopped from spinning. I don't see this a problem really. When would I ever need to keep the stand from spinning?
Setup to extend the stand it's full height is very difficult. The top third of the pole is a separate piece. You have to have the bottom two thirds of the stand as low as possible. Then, with all your heavy lights on the T-bar, you have to lift up the top third of the pole and slide it into place. Maybe there's and easier way, but I haven't figured it out yet. My lights are pretty heavy and you have to lift this thing pretty high. It's just kinda dangerous. So I just decided to settle with 8 feet for now. I could mount the lights after mounting the upper third pole and t-bar, but that's a pain and very time consuming. Maybe that's what they had in mind when they designed this thing.
I gave this stand a 6 due the above short comings. At this price, I'm willing to deal. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. I just don't want people to think that this product is another Monoprice home-run. For example, I ordered the speaker stands as well and those are a home-run for sure.
PROS: Professional looking. Tall. Comes with hardware for mounting lights.
CONS: The finish scratches easily. The main knob broke the first day. Setting it up for the full 12' height is very difficult.
