    Strong Stands

PROS: This stand is hands down the best lighting tree you can get for the money. This is my 10 tree i have owned and i would highly recommend it. It comes with 4 wing nut bolts to mount your fixtures, so no need to buy a C-clamp. This stand goes higher then i needed it, the stand is very light and easily moved around but yet strong in case of high winds.

CONS: I had an extra bolt in my box, but that ended up being an positive thing.

    PROS: Very sturdy, professional stand.

CONS: It's much bigger, and less portable than I thought.

    great lighting stand
this has worked great for years and it still works for me. I use it every single weekend for events as a DJ. I mount up lights and cables and move it around, throw it around, bust it up but it does not quit on me. It has finally started to wear down and the threading on the plastic is going but I will be buying another one again soon. It has worked for 2 years now.

    PROS: works great

    CONS: none

    One Broken on Arival
These stands seem great but one was broke on the top bar where the plastic goes over the stand. Waiting on RMA from monoprice to see if i can get it replaced.

    PROS: Tall, Heavy Duty

I ordered two of these. One nut was missing. Easily replaced with a trip to the hardware store. Overall a good value with the caveat that I've only used one of them once so far at a show to hold two 9 lb. LED panel lights. The venue was too small to use the extension pole.

    PROS: Standard 1.5" diameter

    Truly tall at 12.5'

    CONS: Missing a nut

This stand is great for the price. I wish the top pole was about a foot longer, and the middle section was a foot shorter. This would allow me to just use the bottom and top sections for most gigs, and leave the middle section at the shop.

PROS: The stand can get very tall, and is the best stand for the price.

CONS: The top part of the stand that has to be used with the cross bar is only about 3 feet long, and pretty much has to be used with the extender middle section all the time to get lights over the crowd's head

WE bought 2 of these stands for a church youth group. They get used once a week, and have endured the setup and tear down process well. Can not beat the cost anywhere. I would buy again if I needed more.

PROS: Seems to be solid. Lightweight. Easy to use. Price was what really sold us.

CONS: Noe that I've seen so far

    Does the Job
The finish was already scratched a bit upon arrival. I noticed that the plastic pieces scratch the finish a bit when you adjust them. No biggy. I just have to be really careful so they'll stay looking nice.

The main knob on the stand broke already and I haven't even gigged with the stand yet. I turn the knob, but the bold/screw doesn't turn. It's stripped in the knob or something. Not sure how to fix it. I think that one part will need to be replaced. The stand is still useable. There's a metal pin that stops the stand from collapsing. The downside is that the to half of the stand isn't stopped from spinning. I don't see this a problem really. When would I ever need to keep the stand from spinning?

Setup to extend the stand it's full height is very difficult. The top third of the pole is a separate piece. You have to have the bottom two thirds of the stand as low as possible. Then, with all your heavy lights on the T-bar, you have to lift up the top third of the pole and slide it into place. Maybe there's and easier way, but I haven't figured it out yet. My lights are pretty heavy and you have to lift this thing pretty high. It's just kinda dangerous. So I just decided to settle with 8 feet for now. I could mount the lights after mounting the upper third pole and t-bar, but that's a pain and very time consuming. Maybe that's what they had in mind when they designed this thing.

I gave this stand a 6 due the above short comings. At this price, I'm willing to deal. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. I just don't want people to think that this product is another Monoprice home-run. For example, I ordered the speaker stands as well and those are a home-run for sure.

PROS: Professional looking. Tall. Comes with hardware for mounting lights.

CONS: The finish scratches easily. The main knob broke the first day. Setting it up for the full 12' height is very difficult.

    Great stand for the price!
4 stars as the top pole doesn't seem to tighten so it can still rotate. Easy to work around with gaff tape if needed.
