    Chorus Pedal

Add chorus to your pedal board with this Chorus Pedal from Monoprice!

This pedal produces a chorus effect, which makes your single guitar sound like multiple guitars playing in unison. You can control both the Depth and Speed of the chorus effect, as well as the output volume. The pedal features true bypass, so it won't alter your tone when not actively in use.

The casing is metal for long term durability. It is powered using either a 9VDC power adapter with a negative tip/center, such as our 9V Power Supply for Guitar Pedals (PID 611690) or a 9V alkaline battery (not included).

    Specifications
    Signal to Noise Ratio -90dB

    Pros: price
    useability
    useful tones

Cons: needs to be first in the chain (maybe something wrong with this one)
won't give you any crazy revelations

I'm not one to give something 5 stars unless it changes my life, so this review isn't saying that the pedal is bad. It is really pretty good. It looses a star because it doesn't change my life. My wife gets 5 stars, guitar pedals get 4 if they are great. This looses a star because it needs to be first in the pedal chain or it shuts the whole chain down. That's a problem, because a chorus shouldn't be first in the chain (even before a compressor? no way).
The tone is nice, it is good for an acoustic because it doesn't get so wild that it sounds fakey. But that's the problem for my electric chain. I like the "thickness" it gives the tone, but doesn't do anything WOW. It is nice, but I wouldn't describe it as lush. It adds a thickness but not a wooosh. It doesn't do the crazy stuff that say a Moog does, but costs a small fraction, and is fine for 90% of what you might use a chorus for. But you won't get anything CRAZY.

    Pros: Well-built

    Cons: Noisy

The one I received is very noisy so maybe it is defective. It is well-built, and I haven't had this problem with other Monoprice pedals.

    Pros: Good price

    Cons: Noisy

Maybe it's a faulty pedal. It's kind of like an 'ocean' or 'white noise' sound. The thing is, I could have sworn it didn't have this at first use. Coming back to it a week or two later and it's super noisy.

Pros: May give a good chorus sound.

    Cons: Very noisy.

Upon first use, I didn't notice any noise. Upon 2nd use, this thing is very noisy. I even tried a 9v battery in case the outlet/converter were bad, but it was still very noisy when turned on. ...just like a sort of 'white noise'.
