Easily tune your guitar, bass, or other stringed instrument, even in the noisiest environments, using this Clip-On Guitar Tuner from Monoprice!

This tuner is designed to clip to the headstock of your guitar or other stringed instrument. It operates by picking up the vibrations of the instrument as the strings are plucked, which means you don't have to be in a quiet environment to get the perfect tune.

The tuner has specialized modes for tuning a Guitar, Bass, Violin, or Ukulele. Each instrument mode identifies the string position of the tune, making it perfect for beginners. It also features a Chromatic mode, which simply identifies the note being tuned, including sharp and flat tones, which is more suited for experienced players.

The tuner operates in the B0 to B7 tuning range and the A4 tune can be adjusted incrementally from 430-450 Hz. The tuner is powered by a CR2032 battery (included) and features a color LCD display.

How do I use them tune a guitar? Hi

BEST ANSWER: Make sure you are in the "Guitar Mode"...click button on back until a red :G" for guitar shows up on the screen. Place the tuner on the head stock (tuners) of the guitar. Begin with 6th String E (heaviest string) and pick string with your finger or pick. Turn tuner until the green color in center or screen is lit. Proceed to each successive string and you will see the name of the string and pick the string until the green is lit in center position on the screen.

Clip it on the headstock. Turn it on. Pluck each string turning the tuning peg until it shows correct tuning.

What is the correct polarity orientation for the battery?

BEST ANSWER: The + side (positive) of the battery faces up (towards you) as you slide the battery holder into the battery slot on the back of the unit. The CR 2032 battery has a plus + inscribed on the back side of the battery.

Clip On Guitar Tuner

I enjoy the ease of use a headstock tuner provides. I've been pleased with the ones I have, but I can honestly say they pale in comparison to this little beauty. The fact it's pried about a third less is a great bonus! However, low cost means nothing if it doesn't perform......and this one does perform! It is by far the most accurate and sensitive head stock tuner ive used. The display is also very bright and easy to read, so my old tred eyes appreciate that!

I've been playing, building, repairing guitars for 40 some years now and have a good sense of what works and what doesn't. This gem works and is just a great tuner regardless of price.

PROS: Accurate, easy to use, low cost, dependable.

CONS: None.

Great tuner little cash

Great tuner!

PROS: Great tuner, like the higher priced clipons but "monopriced"! Nice multi color screen and works well on acoustic and electric, even tuned my 6 year olds toy guitar with it.. but it holds a tune about as well as a politician keep promises. GReat item, great price!

CONS: Cant think of any cons. Does what it is supposed to do and does it well.

Easy, simple, effective

My daughter is in her school's ukulele club and her instructor no longer has to tune her instrument each class. Very easy to use and accurate per her instructor (who tuned to the piano by ear).

Better than an Entry-level Snark!

I play guitar and my kids play guitar and violin. These tuners are great and easy to use. They're cheaper than the entry-level Snark clip-on tuners and seem to be better made too!

PROS: Nice size, very bright, and quite accurate. Comes with a battery! Very affordable!

CONS: Haven't come up with any yet

Tuner is Awesome!

I like this just as much as my Snark tuner and it's a fraction of the cost. Buying a few more to give as gifts.

Tuner

This is the first clip on tuner I have ever owned. I have always used the plug in type. My old tuner died and so I skeptically borrowed a friend of mines tuner which was very similar to this tuner. I was amazed so I immediately ordered this tuner and love it! Highly recommended
