Pros: Cheap

Cons: Cheap

I usually stay away from anything thats are not elixir. But this set was going on a squire that I never play and I din't feel like driving to a music store. Just ae I need another guitar for someone to play. The high E sting snapped as soon as I got it to pitch. It broke right were the brass ring holds the sting into the bridge. After a five minute search, I found the ring and repaired the string. Installed it fine. The stings work well. Not the best. But well. Overall I wouldn't buy them again but it was worth buying them for what I needed them for.

Apparently one of the poorer quality products on Monoprice

Pros: Good sound quality/playability

Cons: Strings break before you put them on

I took the high E string (.010 gauge) out of the package and it broke before I threaded it through my bridge. I have never had such a bad experience with guitar strings. Although they are good strings, It's hard to praise them for their sonic qualities when one of them snaps before it is on the guitar.

Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about the issues experienced with PID 611150. Unfortunately, it appears as though you may have received a defective string. If you would like, I can help setup an RMA for a replacement. We offer a one year warranty for this product and obtaining a replacement would be of no additional cost. If you wanted to proceed with the RMA, please let me know and I can get that started right away. Apologies again for any inconvenience and hope this helps!

Pros: Price

Cons: Can't think of a down side at this time. They have played well for a few weeks.

They hold tuning well. I think the tone is good on my Monoprice guitar through my practice amp. I like a twangy tone which I can make happen with these strings and a little amp adjustment. One very attractive thing is the price. I don't inflict my playing on any one but myself.

Best value strings available- good resonance and sustain without buzzing. Like all Monoprice products, the strings are well made, packaged well, and shipped without issue.
