Wall Mount for Electric Guitar - Horizontal

Your electric guitar is a piece of art, as much as any Van Gogh or Rembrandt. Display it proudly on your wall with this Horizontal Wall Mount for Electric Guitars from Monoprice!

This mount attaches to the wall with two screws on a central 3 3/8" plate. On each side of the plate are the rubber tubing covered braces that cradle the guitar in the right-handed playing orientation. Each brace is capped with a plastic plug, ensuring that the metal tubing will not come into contact with your guitar at any point.

The body brace on the left is adjustable horizontally, allowing you to get the perfect fit for any sized guitar. It features 2 3/4" internal spacing to cradle the guitar body. The neck brace is fixed at the end of the bracket and has 1 3/8" internal spacing for the neck.

Overall the bracket is 23 1/4" long. The body brace extends out to about 6 1/2" from the wall and is about 9 1/2" tall.

Can you adjust the angle of how the guitar displays....say horizontal on a clock is at the 3...can you tip the angle up to 2? Slightly up from horizontal (as when holding/playing a guitar)?
    New User U on Nov 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, you can. You need to loosen the nut slightly, and then rotate the inter-locking wheels to the desired position. Don't forget to re-tighten the nut.
is it reversible, could i have the headstock and body on the opposite end as displayed in the image on this site?
    A shopper on Nov 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your interest in the guitar wall mount. This unit is reversible with the use of a screw driver and wrench.
will this work on an angled wall.? I'd say my walls are angled about 45° angle. If I mount the rack on those slanted walls, can I adjust the supports for the base of the guitar somehow so that it sits properly without falling over to the floor? lol
    Damian G on Dec 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Since the main shaft of the mount are square there is no way to tilt your angle. I would say no with out using a shim on the wall to make a 90° angle to the floor.

    Horizontal Guitar Wall Rack
    Cool idea...simple, clean lines

    PROS: Slick, different

    Eay to mount. Solid build.
I would get another. I am getting a fatter one for my dreadnaught. They are great. I could post a video, but I think you get the idea. It goes on the wall. If you don't have a stud, use a screw with a anchor, so your lovely geetar doesn't fall. It is well built and inexpensive.

PROS: I like these. I didn't have a good stud, so I used the anchor type screws. (prefer Black). You don't need to worry about the holes being perfectly even. I drilled the holes after penceling in the two locations. Then I screwed it in. It took less than 5 minutes to mount easy. You can rotate/ turn the instrument to whatever degree. It is not loose, but firm. It feels solidly built. It is cheap compared to my local music store or even other online. I bought two and I am very happy. they shipped very quickly and were easily installed.

CONS: Non that I can think of.

    These things are pretty cool!
I wanted this type of hanger for a long time, and I waited a few months for the Monoprice one to arrive. It was worth it! It was easy to hang, the included Allen wrench helped me tighten the arm into place, and it looks terrific! As I said earlier, only one of the two I ordered had mounting hardware, but it was a standard size (a 10 anchor and 10 x 1.25" screws did the trick). Would have liked it if the heads of the included screws were black, but that's minor to me.

PROS: Fits nicely on wall, holds guitar sturdily, looks good

CONS: Only 1 of the 2 had mounting hardware, but I had my own screws and anchors.

    Works as intended
What can I say? The guitar is still on the wall, and it was easy to hang. (yes I copied and pasted from my review on the acoustic guitar mount ;)

    a good buy
This is a very serviceable horizontal wall hanger at a fraction of the price of any other. When mounting it, throw away the drywall anchors and make sure you put the screws into a stud where they will never pull out. That goes for any guitar hanger. The arms are long and unsightly, but once you put the guitar in it, there is no way it is ever going to tip out by accident. These are great for places where you don't have the height for a vertical hanger, and don't cost much more than one of those or a decent floor stand anyway. High up near the ceiling, these are safe from dogs, kids, etc. One drawback is that the foam padding is the usual stuff that will attack a lacquer finish, like every other stand or hanger out there.

PROS: inexpensive, sturdy, secure, well padded, easy to install, adjustable

CONS: long hooks around the front of the guitar are unsightly

Serves the purpose, but not visually appealing
You'd think if you were horizontally displaying a guitar it'd be because you want to show it off. However, the hooks the hold the body of the guitar are large, bulky, and ugly. Not really worth your time and money.

    PROS: Well built and sturdy

    CONS: Looks bulky and unappealing
