What I am curious about first is the friction between the mouse and pad. I am used to very low friction. How slippery is it? I currently use a 3M Precision Mouse Pad. That pad is about 1/4 the size of this one, very thin, and has a textured surface with tiny grooves. It is hard enough that only the slippery pads on the mouse contact it. From what I can tell the Monoprice pad has a woven fabric surface and at least some cushioning.
Second, the end of my keyboard often ends up resting on the edge of my current pad. Is this pad too thick for the keyboard to slide onto it?

BEST ANSWER: I have one, love it! It is a loose (compared to my microfiber eyeglass rag) microfiber surface over a thin neoprene base. Very flexible! I measured it to be roughly 4mm thick.. I often find my keyboard migrates over to it and it does not affect my keyboard stability at all.
    What are the dimensions?
    A shopper on Sep 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The description clearly states, "The surface measures a generous 17 1/2" wide by 13 3/4" high." So I'm going to hazard a guess that it's 17.5 inches by 13.75 inches.
I want to use this to protect wood table from the heat of a laptop. Would this mouse pad insulate the heat from the table?
    New User U on May 30, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I wouldn't recommend this product for that purpose this is essentially a large cloth mouse pad with a very soft rubber like material for a backing. For your purposes I would have a look at the various laptop coolers that can be found on the site https://www.monoprice.com/search/index?keyword=laptop%20cooler&itemsort=salepriceasc
Can I cut it to fit around my keyboard? Essentially making it a custom fit for my personal desk setup.
    A shopper on Sep 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The edges of the fabric on top seem to be 'sealed' to not fray. My concern would be where you make your cuts, there is the potential for the fabric to fray slightly.

Permanent crease right down the middle!
Unbelievably, this mousepad was shipped folded! Twice! And it was folded with the mouse surface on the inside of the fold, so of course there's now a permanent crease right down the middle of the pad. This is astonishing no other company would be so brazen to dare to send someone a folded mousepad. Even for a relatively cheap pad, it's an embarrassment for monoprice that the product is treated this way.

Given that, the surface has a smooth, fast glide faster than a Roccat Taito or QCK Heavy. I like it. Two different mice with two different sensors (Roccat KPM with the 3310 and Logitech G303 with the 3366) both have no trouble tracking on it. It's only 3 mm thick, but the rubber backing does a good job of keeping it from moving around. The very small monoprice logo is nice for those of us who dislike gaudy branding.

This could be a good, inexpensive large mousepad but for the fact that monoprice ruins it by folding it in half. I wouldn't order this until monoprice figures out, like how literally everyone else does it, how to roll a mousepad up.

Perfect pad for gaming or just needing more mouse space
    $10!!! Get 2 or 3!!!

Monoprice...you really need to teach your shipping dept how to either tube these items or how to roll them up and place in a box. Folding them in half and then half again only makes it difficult for the user to get to work out of the box. The wrinkles take a few days to settle down. But it is all good to go now...please just take note and memo to shipping dept. to get it right.

    PROS: Fast

    CONS: Ummm, NONE.

    Comes folded
Pros: Cheap, ample room for your 360 no scopes, feels comparable to 'gaming' mouse pads

Cons: comes folded into 4s. Had to stack books on top to help flatten it out.

    monoprice, please roll

Best mouse mat I've ever purchased.
Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase. It was cheap, shipping was fast and I don't think I'll be going back to my old one anytime soon.

PROS: Surface is excellent for gaming mice (currently using a Razer Mamba 2012 Edition) and it works better on this mouse mat than it does on the official Razer one.

This thing is HUGE! Depending on your setup, you may want a smaller one but this is perfect for what I needed.

Less than 10 dollars for something like this is insane... I payed 30 dollars for a smaller and lower quality "Pro" mouse mat from Razer and was not satisfied. I bought a total 3 of these, one for myself, my mom and brother and it was only 10 dollars more due to shipping. Worth it.

It cleans! You read that right, this thing just grabs dust off the bottom of anything you put on it. I may sound a bit sarcastic but the dust that gathered on my mouse through the last mouse mat I had was just not good, especially for gaming performance. As soon as I put my mouse on this thing it cleaned all the dust from my mouse away. The dust on the mat was easy to clean off with just a wipe of a soft cloth.

CONS: The packaging, or lack thereof, was nothing but a bit of plastic covering it all around. Then again, why do you need packaging for something so simple?

The edges are a bit rough and can annoy the bottom of my arm as I rest it on my table, but that may also be dependent on the way I have things set up on my desk.

Awesome mouse pad for the money
I'm happy with it I think.

PROS: this thing is REALLY LARGE

Good mouse pad, small friction, smooth.

CONS: crease in the center because shipping folded it :(

Has a smell to it, which I hope will go away after some use.

    Perfect! Big and thin!
It's a huge surface, and it's thinner than most mouse pads I've owned. That means it doesn't gnaw at your wrist, and you won't be running your mouse off the edge either. The cloth layer on top is silky smooth yet well textured. The rubberized bottom grips when you need it, and yet it's easy to move when you don't have any pressure on it. I absolutely love this thing, and would recommend it to anyone who's annoyed with running out of room.

PROS: Huge surface, thin, smooth top, gripping bottom.

CONS: Came in an even bigger box. The surface wasn't rolled up, but that meant the box was a little excessive to me. Being black, it makes dust and such very visible.

    Works as advertised
Lots of real estate to float around on with your mouse. Cleans up the desk...looks nice. If it's too big, just cut it to fit. It came kinda folded in half under a heavier item in the box so was worried initially based on other reviews. But it sat flat immediately and there are no creases in it. I should've bought a few of these. They would come in handy around a shop or nice to have on hand when the first one wears out or starts looking shabby.
