BEST ANSWER: Nope. This cable is not compatible with your ipod 2nd generation. This cable works great if you have 5th generations and or above.

In relation to the original Apple lightning cable, how does the compact and traditional connector compare for size? Which connector is the same size as the original apple lightning cable?

These cables are of a useful length, seem to last a reasonable amount of time though the abuse I put them ? maybe a year or so ? and are inexpensive. I have very little to be upset about here.

Great Purchase!
It was packed safe and secure and delivered sooner than they were estimating. This item is very sturdy and long. I use this cable when I connect my iPad for the power when I present lecture slides in the classroom. It is long enough that I can move around while presenting, so it is very useful. I?m very happy for this purchase.

Not for the Dog!
So far, so good. Was stocking up as our cords don?t always last. Either there seem to lose their connectivity to the device (become lose ) or I?ll admit it ? the dog plays with them .. well actually eats them!
