    Great
Not only does this mount look as good as the $200 mounts with is nice paint job and ability to hide cables but it works really well with a large amount of adjustment allowed. Seriously folks this is a bunch of pieces of steel nicely painted probably all of them made in China why are people paying $200 for these mounts that cost $4 to manufacture at most?

Used on a PTAE 40000 Panasonic

    Mod worked great for Epson
Simple to install and hang. I would make sure you are familiar with all the pieces before starting to drill, etc. It is simple, but instructions are just "ok".

I had to bring down a few times to get the cords to run through properly because I didn't get them right the first time. That is a user error not a issue with this product.

PROS: Able to use the common mod (extensions) to hang Epson projector in media room. Sturdy, and allows to adjustment to get picture square on screen.

CONS: Not sure why Monoprice doesn't just extend the pieces to allow for more projectors to work with this piece.

    Great price, a few flaws
Price was more than fair. The mount was maybe worth $5 more than the price. It definitely holds the weight. I tugged VERY hard on the mount before I trusted it with my Viewsonic Pro8100 20lb. projector and everything held. The few flaws:
-Very poor documentation. It's just a single sheet of paper with a partially exploded schematic diagram of the mount
-Poor x-axis (shifting the image left to right) rotation functionality (tilt and y-axis are fine, though)
-It holds the weight, but the projector and image will move with even slight touches to the projector or tugs on the power/hdmi cables.
-Telescoping down-rod is only held by a single screw and friction plate. There is no true "locking" mechanism. I'm having to put my trust in a friction plate.
-The ceiling mount is held by 4 screws. Only two of them can reach a ceiling stud, so the other two had to go into the drywall with the included drywall anchors. I should have used something stronger for those two, like lag bolts. I might still change them out.

    ceiling bracket
It was easy to install into the ceiling but it didn't expand large enough to fit our epson projector. My son the engineer cut a aluminum plate to catch all the holes in the projector and still used the upper portion . We just didn't use the fingers as they would not go out far enough to catch all the holes. It would only stretch out to get two holes. We just took the fingers off and used the rest and screwed it to the plate we made and it worked great. It can handle the weight we have but the projector was just two large. It looks great hanging in our theater room. We have purchased all our speaker wire jacks connectors and speakers . The speakers take 20 seconds to cut the hole in the tile and 15 seconds to install the speakers in the holes.

PROS: It looks great and easy to adjust.

CONS: It didn't fit our projector.

    Great Projector Mount
I can't believe how inexpensive this mount is, yet how good a job it does!

I used this mount to suspend my Mitsubishi HC-3800 projector, and I can't think of anything I would change. VERY adjustable in all axes...Soundly built...

MAY not work with a larger footprint projector, but for the new, smaller projectors it can't be beat!

    Projector Mount Review
For the price this mount does the job. Note that the x-axis doesn't adjust well but the y-axis does just fine. I'm hanging an Optoma HD70 and everything worked together perfectly. Unless you need allot of adjustment this mount will do just fine for most applications.

Adjustment is not as simple as some of the (much) more expensive mounts available on the market. Of particular note is that “left to right” adjustment is accomplished by slots in the four mounting hole locations. Poor placement of mounting screws/bolts by the installer will result in significantly reduced “left to right” adjustment range.

However, once it is installed, it hangs the PJ just fine and is plenty sturdy, no creep or sag noticed. If a person can center and pre-drill holes with accuracy, this mount can save them a good deal of money.

Running a Panasonic 3000u on it.

    Not bad, but not universal
Product is sturdy and will hold the weight as it says. I used this mount on a NEC commercial projector. The only problem is that the legs do not adjust enough to accommodate the larger projectors that are on the market. I had ordered two of these for the project I was working on, but had to open the 2nd box to use two of the legs from the other mount to get it to work properly. Overall a decent product.

    PROS: Cost and size.

CONS: Hard to adjust when large projector on it. Spider legs are to small to accommodate larger projectors.

    Didn't quite work
    3/5

PROS: Nice box. square tubing which is stronger.

CONS: Didn't match up to my Dell 4610 wireless projector. We tried every which way to get it to match up, but with no luck. But we did have another projector that we can use it on in another area.
