    3874 Ceiling Bracket - AWESOME
You would be a fool to buy one of these anywhere but here on monoprice. My local big box store wanted 4x the price for a similar mount. Fits my Mitsubishi HC1600 perfectly.

PROS: This bracket is great- no instructions needed, holds the projector steady but also allows you to adjust if needed. Looks a lot better than the crappy plastic one that kept drooping too.

    CONS: None.

    Excellent Ceiling Mount
This ceiling mount is excellent. It is extremely adjustable and will fit on just about any projector under 22lbs. I have a Mitsubishi HC1600 and this ceiling mount works perfectly with it. The price is amazing, you'll see other ceiling mounts going as high as $100 or $200, this one does everything you need for your home theater, why pay more?

Does not work with Dell Projectors
We had to get some other screws and hardware to get this to work with a Dell projector and the tilt is very shallow. Assemble is not intuitive. Took about 6 hours to mount and calibrate.

    PROS: Cheap

CONS: Does not work with Dell Projectors

It's a good mount for 12 bucks, but do your research first. If your projector uses M3 screws for the mount this will not work. M3 screws are not included. I had to go out and buy some. The tilt feature is a joke, I could not get mine to tilt at all. Other than those two gripes its good for the 12 bucks.

PROS: Good Construction. Sturdy. Easy to install

Instructions are clear and easy to follow

    Packaged well

CONS: Does not work with the Optoma EP728 or and projector that uses M3 screws for the mount

    Tilt does not work

Does not fit for the DLP toshibas (although the manual says fits toshibas)
I got this projector from monoprice since (even with the bad review on this item, an exception indeed, the website has the best cables and equipment), wanting to use it for my DLP toshiba projector.

Well DLP toshibas have number 4 or smaller screws in a triangular shape in the bottom and using any possible combination of the additional arms provided with this ceiling bracket, i couldn't reach all 3 screws at the same time.
Also, the center of gravity of the DLP is towards the back so even if you make-shift a housing for the DLP (I did mine myself using angled aluminum bars a couple of nuts and bolts and a rivet tool) so that you can drill holes in the housing that match the width and location of the holes in the arms of the ceiling bracket, you still have to go through trial and error to match the center of gravity of the projector to be on the center of the bracket... and guess what... the projector's bracket's lower surface is quite wide (about 4 inches in an oval-like shape), and since the center of gravity of the toshiba DLP is towards the rear-right (view from top), the lower area of the supporting bracket ended up protruding in an ugly way behind my projector.

I had already purchase an earlier item (the arms that are used for LCD) and tried to use them vertically but it appeared the DLP which weighs close to 8 lbs was too much for them.
This bracket is made for projectors and lists toshibas on its manual as a fitting product... well it is not... and the bracket is made for 22 lbs projectors... well without the additional weight by the pull of the power cable and the S-video...the toshiba weighs are 8 lbs max, and it couldn't hold it horizontally straight...until after i got the center of gravity aligned. (the aluminum housing weighs less than 2 lbs)...

I was able to get something (though quite ugly looking) and i am not going to scratch my head anymore because i am tired of this but i would NOT recomment this product to a toshiba DLP projector owner... the product (which surprisingly came with 2 vertical bars of different heights , one is around 3 and the other around 6 inches) may be suitable for other types of projectors.

    Didn't work for me!
This mount does NOT work for the Optoma projectors and I wish I would have read the reviews thoroughly before purchasing this product. My projector is the Optoma HD131xe model and requires M3 machine screws. This mount did NOT come with M3 screws required for the projector. I had to go all around town looking for M3 screws which are not all that common.Furthermore, you cannot attach all three mount arms to the projector (only two) because of the projector screws layout. This results in an unstable center of gravity when trying to attach the mount to the ceiling. In addition, as other reviewers have mentioned...the tilt feature is useless and adjustment is pretty much impossible. But I guess for the price...it is what it is. In the end, I ended up going to Best Buy and purchasing a much more expensive mount which was solid metal and had all the tilt/rotation features I required.

PROS: Sleek looking, nice black color

CONS: Is not truely universal, cheap quality

Good desing in concept. However, does allow any adjustment after its has been connected/ hooked up to the projector. Since it has ball joint for tilt/rotate capability which needs to adjusted and tightened up prior to the hanging.... and buy better bracket which allows adjustment after hanging. eg Telehook TH-WH-PJ-FM. Will save u time and give more options during installation.

I bought this mount not sure if I was going to use it or not with my AX200u. This weekend I attempted and successfully mounted my projector with no problems what so ever. I read some reviews before ordering about people who had problems but it's fairly straight forward instructions were not required. You do end up with lots of parts left over but thats because of the different setup for different projectors.

Overall I'm happy, especially because of the price.

    Good value for the money
Excellent product for the price. Installation was a pain, and the included instructions are useless, but the YouTube video is all you really need to watch to install it. Works great with a Mitsubishi XL8U 3LCD projector. No wiggling or jitter. One complaint would be that they don't include dry-wall anchors in the package, only concrete anchors, but that's easily fixed with a trip to the hardware store.

    PROS: - Metal construction
    - High quality

CONS: - Useless instructions (watched the YouTube video for installation instructions)
    - Bit of a pain to clip in
