Adjustable Height 5 lb. Capacity Speaker Stands (Pair), Black

Many small satellite speakers have ports on the back, which are designed to improve the bass response. For best sound response, it is usually recommended to mount these speakers about 1-2 feet away from the wall, to allow the ports to work properly.

This speaker floor stand set is designed to let you mount your satellite speakers in an ideal location, away from a wall. The stands are height adjustable from about 26.8" to 43.3", allowing you to mount the speakers at your ear height when sitting. They can hold speakers weighing up to 5 lbs each.

The brackets mount onto speakers with a standard 1/4" x 20 mounting screw or via a keyhole mount. The stand tubes are hollow so that the speaker wires can be hidden within.

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your inquiry. The 8247 speakers would not have the proper screw threading to be compatible with the 3022 speaker stands. The 8247 will come with wall mountable C brackets. I do apologize for any inconvenience.

Will Sony BDV-E570 speakers fit with these stands?
    A shopper on Jun 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Looking into the speakers of your system, they look to have 1/4" x 20 mounting points. They should work just fine. However, I would recommend reaching out to Sony to confirm the thread size of the speakers.
    Will it fit for Yamaha?
    A shopper on Jun 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. As long as your Yamaha speakers will utilize 1/4"x20 threading for the mounting points or if it uses keyhole style mounting points then it would work just fine. You would also want to be sure that the speakers do not exceed the weight capacity of 5lbs.

    Be Gentle
Thanks for all the others who wrote reviews warning me what to expect. This allowed me to install them with almost no problems. And here is what I learned.

The weights are cheap cast iron with questionable threads. Be gentle, and if they don't thread the first time try flipping the weight over and going from the other side, or try the weight for the other base.

Yes it seems strange the correct machine screws for the 10565 speakers are not included, but the 1/4-20 x 1/2 machine screws are cheap and readily available.

The set screw/universal mount interface been mentioned as a weak point so I carefully worked the set screws in and out (to tap an nice thread) before tightening them. I recommend mounting the universal mount to the speaker before mounting it to the stand.

Threading speaker wire has been described as difficult, so if possible feed it from the top with the stand at its minimum height and it will be much easier.

The height locking nuts have correctly been described as delicate, so be gentle. Remember speaker orientation can be adjusted at the same time as height.

Stability on carpet has been correctly described as problematic, but whereas one tends to install the bases with the feet at 90 degrees to where the speaker faces, if you orient the base with one of the feet directly below the speaker (i.e. facing the same way as the speaker) it will be much more stable.

All in all good stands, and by doing the above I broke nothing and they are very functional. Hope this helps someone.

    PROS: Sleek modern look.

CONS: Get what you pay for.

    PROS: yet to install.

CONS: I am unable to install. I got this for the monoprice premium 5.1 speaker. but none of the 3 screws fit the speaker. Not sure this stand is made for monoprice speakers.

    Response from Monoprice
    Hi Raj,

Thank you for your review on PID 3022! I just wanted to mention that these stands were released before our Premium 5.1 system (PID 10565) and do not include the necessary hardware for those satellite speakers, sorry to say. At this time, our best recommendation would be to obtain the screws from your local hardware store as we would be unable to supply those separately. Or, if truly unsatisfied with the stands, I can assist you in setting up an RMA for a return instead. If you would like to proceed with the return, please let me know and I will get that going right away. My apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused and I hope this helps.

Not complatible with Premium 5.1 set sold by monoprice
These stands do not come with the hardware to mount the Premium 5.1-ch set that monoprice sells (product number 10565), even though the item description says:

"The brackets mount onto speakers with a standard 1/4" x 20 mounting screw or via a keyhole mount."

Guess what? The Premium 5.1-ch speakers use the standard 1/4" x 20 mounting screws, but only smaller screws are included with this set. If you want to use these with the 5.1 ch satellites, you'll need to buy extra hardware at the store.

Monoprice: you really should have in bold writing something like, "While this stand supports standard 1/4" x 20 mounts, the hardware to do this is sold separately." This is extremely misleading, and makes me weary about future purchases.

    PROS: Cheap, base seems sturdy

CONS: Doesn't work with Premium 5.1-ch speakers sold by monoprice

No reason to shop anywhere else
After looking here I decided I'd check for something I could pick up in a brick and mortar store, but the best price I could find was what two of these cost. They are sturdy and well made. My only complaint was trying to run 12 gauge speaker wire through them was a little tough.

    PROS: Sturdy, well built, inexpensive.

CONS: A bit too small for higher gauge speaker cable.

    Great Value
I looked high and low for speaker stands on the internet and these were the cheapest I could find. Added these stands to an order for $40 worth of cable. Everything arrived on time in perfect condition. Assembled the stands with ease (a 15 yr old with a screwdriver can do it). They are lightweight and hold my Energy Take Classic sats (3lbs I think) just fine. They are a little wobbly but I don't regret the decision at all. Got every bit for the price.

I purchased a pair of these stands to hold a pair of Boston Acoustics Micro 80 speakers, which are relatively heavy for their small size. Some reviewers have stated their stands differed from those shown on, but the stands I received from are exactly as shown. I was concerned about the weight of the speakers in relation to the size and weight of the stands base being insufficient, causing the stand to topple over, but with the speakers mounted, the stands are well-balanced and are fairly sturdy. The design, quality and construction of the stands is very good (made primarily of heavy gauge steel) given their low price point, and feature a tool-less adjustable height to accomodate most listening areas. The stands incorporate use of a few plastic parts, such as the top bracket, requiring care to not overtighten and cause breakage when fastening the speaker. Overall, these stands are a good value for the money, rivaling stands costing $50 and up. I highly recommend these speak stands. - JCaffarella, Littleton MA

PROS: Bought these because of the price for small front speakers. Tough to thread the 14G speaker wire I also purchased, but got it through ok. I wouldn't try it with any bigger gauge. Work great, quality is fine, simple design lines, and price is a whole lot better than the competition. Highly recommended for smaller speakers.

    Great stands. Even better price
These things are great, and you can't beat the price. Smaller footprint than the stands they are replacing, but with heavy weight that attaches to the bottom to keep them upright. None of the available mounting screws quite fit my system, and the little hanger for the "keyhole" style didn't fit the hole on my speakers, but $1.50 worth of screws at Home Depot fixed that.

PROS: Easy to set up. Nice balance for the base to keep them from tipping. Small footprint.

CONS: Main tube is too narrow to run decent gauge speaker wire through, that's about it.

    Good value for the price
These are well built, solid not tippy and I am happy with quality. The only knock is that the hole in the tubing which allows the wiring to travel up the tube and remain hidden is so tiny that the factory speaker connections are far too large to fit and I am not about to whack off the ends, feed it through then solder the ends back on. I guess I live with wrapping the wiring around the pole. Would buy again

    Great Value, Great Quality. Stable
I find these stands to be very stable for my Sony SS2300 Surround Sound. They were wobbly at first, but then I realized that I didnt use the supplied ring at the base of the stand to stabilize it. My speakers are about 3 lbs. and the stands are rock solid. Easy to assemble, good value and quality. Highly recommended for these speakers which are about 3 lbs.
