Premium TPU Case for iPad® 2, iPad 3, iPad 4 - Smoke
(the New iPad)
|iPad Air™||iPad Air 2|
The TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) case is a nice compromise between the flexibility of the soft silicone skin, and the stronger form factor of the harder crystal and polycarbonate cases. The TPU material is highly resistant to scratches and fingermarks. It is pliable, yet resistant to tearing, making it good-looking and long-lasting alternative to other materials.
While the case has cutouts for the connectors and camera lens, the controls are covered, preventing dust and other material from entering the tablet, yet still allowing the controls to be easily manipulated through special button molds in the case. Although the case covers the cellular antenna area, it will not interfere with cellular reception.
The case has a black finish with a subdued checkerboard pattern.

PROS: Low cost - high value.
PROS: light, non-slip, good looking
PROS: Covers entire border of my iPad 2.
CONS: Can't attach Smart Cover.
PROS: easy to snap on, the grayish black and the pattern are very nice. It definitely works to prevent scratches.
did I mention it's really cheap?
CONS: It doesn't protect any drops - though it was never the intent of this case.
CONS: Not exactly black - more of a very dark green
Not compatible with the smart cover
The screen is exposed though... Good product.
PROS: Nice feel and look to it. Protects iPad as well as you can expect. Low price. Fits perfectly.
CONS: Doesn't cover the screen. Not compatible with Smart Cover.
CONS: monoprice name on the back
PROS: Fits pretty well, nice grip, much better than a bare iPad.
CONS: The 30-pin connection cutout isn't large enough. I have to jiggle the connector to get it in. A few mm wider would have been great. Also one side had a small warping of the plastic that was a little distracting.
PROS: Perfect price
CONS: A little loose on the sides.
