do you have a OTG adapter for a lg6?
    A shopper on May 21, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. The LG G6 would utilize a USB type C connector. You may be able to use a USB C adapter, however, I would recommend reaching out to LG in regards to the device supporting such an adapter.
Can this be used to power a tablet or any other Micro USB device for that matter?
    Ted B on Nov 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It is more of an adapter than a charging cable. You would still need a USB cable to connect to a supply supply.
When will these (9724) be in stock?
    A shopper on Jan 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hello, thank you for your question. Unfortunately we currently do not have an ETA for this item. Please check back at a later time. I apologize for the inconvenience

Doesn't work with Raspberry Pi Zero
I purchased this adapter in the hopes that I would be able to use it for my Raspberry Pi Zero. Unfortunately when this cable is plugged in, the power slot is blocked, rendering it useless. Will be returning. :(

    What's not to like?
This little cable, like everything else I've ever ordered from Monoprice, is absolutely "as advertised" in every way. I'm completely confident that were it otherwise, they would make it right. It works perfectly with my Nexus 7. I had it in my hand, from CA to FL, within four days of the day it was shipped. The cost with shipping was a fraction of anywhere else. Even the pre-purchase Customer Service CHAT to nail down exactly what I needed was like talking to a competent professional who was only concerned with making sure I ordered the right item.

Monoprice is so good, I almost hate writing a review because it feels like what happens when you tell a friend about a great little restaurant. They tell a friend, and that person tells a friend until, pretty soon, the place gets so popular you can't get a table. Well, when th

    PROS: The product!

    The price!

    The speed of shipment!

The security I feel just dealing with Monoprice!

CONS: The only one I can think of is the fact that it wasn't hand-delivered by a half-naked Victoria's Secret model. But that's really my own fault, I selected Standard shipping and I guess that's the Super-Ultra-Deluxe shipping option.

    Micro USB OTG Adapter
I tried one other inexpensive wires and was disappointed with it.
Then I remembered Monoprice. It took a little looking on the website but I found what I wanted I was pleasantly surprised bu the price and shipping cost so I ordered two and paid less for them than I paid for the last one, I waited a lot less for the shipping time as the last one came from China.

Lesson learned = always use Monoprice. (no I was not paid for this)

PROS: This works great on my nexus 7.
This allowed me to increase it's storage by using a spare 16 Gb memory card. I can also connect other things like hard drive, mouse and keyboard.

    Proper USB OTG Cable
This little cable allows your USB "On The Go" (OTG) device to act as a USB host to other USB devices. For example, I have a Lenovo Yoga HD+ tablet. When I connect this to my PC with a normal USB cable, the PC becomes the USB host and my tablet acts as a simple USB drive (a guest device).

If I use a regular USB cable to connect a USB Card reader to my tablet, nothing happens. This is because the tablet still thinks it's a guest device.

The way USB OTG works, a special USB OTG cable is needed to tell my tablet to act as the host. There's actually an extra pin on the MicroUSB end which controls this USB OTG behavior. On the other end of this small cable is a standard USB port.

So, when you attach this USB OTG cable to a device like a phone or a tablet that supports USB OTG (only some devices support this!), the device acts like a PC and becomes the USB host for whatever you attach.

And that's where the magic happens. You can attach thumb drives, HDDs, other phones and tablets, you name it.

NOTE - You need to know 2 things here:

    1. There are power limitations here. So if you try to attach a big HDD that needs a lot of power to your tiny little phone, the phone may not be able to power that HDD. Experimentation is needed.

    2. Most devices (like my Lenovo Yoga with its Android OS) will need at least 1 special piece of software to first MOUNT the device. Once mounted, you may need additional software to browse and/or use the device. Your mileage may vary. Seek the forums of truth for details.

PROS: Small. Efficient. Genuine USB On The Go (OTG).

    CONS: None

    Just what I needed!
I used this adapter to "dock" my Windows 8 tablet at my desk by connecting it to a small USB hub. Along with a micro HDMI to Male HDMI adapter, I have a large monitor and all my peripherals connected. I have the best of both worlds, a take-anywhere tablet and a full workstation.

I'd recommend buying two, one for the desk and a second to take with you so any USB device is usable.

PROS: Ninety degree bend on the micro USB end really makes this useful.

I have no idea what to do with this...but it's awesome
I still don't know what I'm going to do with the 10 that I bought but I've been showing people the possibilities while handing them out at work. The cable is nice and robust with a good thick wire that should hold up to abuse and taking this with me in a bike bag or backpack. Length is ~5" which is perfect to connect and have another device plugged in without having to deal with cords getting in the way.

PROS: Cheap, works for Galaxy SIII, durable

    Resurrected my Nexus 7.
I cracked my screen on my nexus 7 and the touch wouldn't respond I used a hub with this cable and plugged in a mouse, keyboard and usb drive (for the Nexus Media Importer App) and they all work.

    PROS: Fits, right length.

    CONS: It's not free.

    Works as expected
Works on my Samsung Galaxy S4 connector is low profile enough that it still fits while my Spiegen Slim Armor case is on.
