Slimport™ to HDMI® Adapter - Black
Connect your Google Nexus™ 4 or 5 phone directly to your HDTV using this SlimPort™ to HDMI® Adapter from Monoprice!
SlimPort is a technology based on the VESA DisplayPort standard that uses the micro USB connector for audio/video output and charging input. It supports the full 1080p high definition resolution, as well as 3D graphics modes.
This adapter allows you to output your phone's audio/video using just the adapter and a separate HDMI cable (not included). In most cases, external power is not required, with the phone's internal power being sufficient for the video conversion. However, a micro USB input port included, which allows you to connect to a USB charging source, so you can charge your phone's battery while using the HDMI video output.

Questions and Answers
PROS: -works with Nexus 7 2013 model.
-latency is decent enough where you can play old emulator games with a PS3 controller.
-power not required for this to work although would be recommended otherwise battery will drain a lot faster in the device that is connected.
CONS: -doesn't work with 10' Redmere cable.
PROS: It works as advertised with no issues. Video and sound work great from my Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 2013.
CONS: It does not work with Monoprice's Ultra-Slim Redmere HDMI cable, but I suspected it might not since those definitely aren't your basic HDMI cables. Some other cables I have work fine.
PROS: Small, portable, functional, cheap
CONS: doesn't include charging cable or hdmi cable (not really cons as I have both, through other monoprice orders) but would be nice 'extras'
Haven't tested audio at all.
PROS: I got it on time and able get my phone to display on my tv....
