MHL to HDMI with RCP/CEC Android 4.0+ - Black
MHL is here!
The Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) is a new standard for use with tablets and smartphones. It sends the audio and video signals through the micro USB connector and converts it to an HDMI® signal for use on HDTVs. The signal remains in digital format throughout the entire transmission and conversion process, so no quality is lost.
This adapter is designed to this new standard and allows you to connect your MHL device, such as an HTC EVO 3D or Samsung Galaxy S3, to your high-definition TV. It supports all video resolutions, including 1080p, and up to 8 channels of audio (for 7.1 surround sound). It also supports 3D video, HDCP media protection, and the CEC/RCP protocols, which allow you to use your TV's remote control to control your phone.
Some devices (such as the HTC EVO 3D) can supply sufficient power from their internal batteries to drive the adapter. For others, or in the event you want to charge your device while using the AV output, you can plug your charger into the micro USB port on the side of the adapter.
The current list of MHL compatible devices can be found on the Official MHL Consortium Website.
* The Samsung Galaxy S III, Note II, and S4 require the use of an 11-to-5 pin Micro USB adapter to use a standard 5-pin MHL adapter.

PROS: Did not work
CONS: did not work
PROS: Works great! Affordable.
CONS: I wish there was an MHL adapter with USB OTG.
PROS: Audio and Video output works as intended for my HTC One running 4.4.2.
CONS: Adapter doesn't provide a charge to device even after plugging into different power sources (wall plug, computer USB, external battery pack).
It is not even able till charge the phone when the USB charge cable is plugged in.
PROS: None does not work
CONS: Does not work
The device I connected it to is a 2 month old Samsung Note 4. I wasted my time here buying and waiting for it, spent time and gas going to the store to get an adapter that works.
I need you to make this right.
CONS: Would have rated this adapter a big ZERO. It does not work.
Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about your experience with PID 10022. Keep in mind when using this adapter for the Galaxy note 4, it would require the use of an 11 to 5 pin micro USB adapter such as PID 9716.
Because Samsung uses a nonstandard micro USB connector with 11 pins rather than standard 5 pins, PID 9716 converts the 11 pin output to a standard 5 pin output allowing existing MHL adapters to work properly with them.
An alternative would be PID 10020 which does not require the use of an 11 to 5 pin adapter.
Hope this helps!
PROS: Works with galaxy S2
CONS: Make sure to read description it does not work with galaxy S4.
Monoprice shipping and handling + custome fee from dhl 10$ kill the deal.
CONS: This does not fit samsung s4
PROS: Plugged in hdmi cable into MHL adapter, plugged power into the MHL adapter, connected the 11pin to 5 pin adapter, connected it to GS3. worked great. picture was good quality on 55inch 1080p tv.
CONS: Picture was larger than the tv displayed on my 32 inch 720p tv. Slight overscan. still was great for movies and netflix.
