    Smooth Full-Motion TV Wall Mount Bracket (Min 5.5 - Max 44 lbs, 26 - 47 inch)

    MONOPRIOCE Wall Mount Logo Locations

Add another dimension to your HDTV wall mount with this Smooth Motion Adjustable Tilting/Swiveling Wall Mount Bracket from Monoprice!

Most fully articulating wall mounts provide adjustment on three dimensions: swivel the display angle horizontally, tilt the display angle vertically, and extend the display out away from the wall. This mount adds the ability to adjust the height of the display.

Equipped with an adjustable counterbalance weight in the extension arm, this mount can be height adjusted up to 13" with nothing more than a gentle push. When the counterbalance weight is properly adjusted, the arm will stay in position, without creeping upwards or downwards.

The mount is designed to fit a wide range of TV VESA sizes, including 100x100, 200x100, 200x200, 300x300, 400x200, and 400x400. The extension arms allow the display to be situated anywhere from 2.2" to 22.8" away from the wall. The bracket can swivel 90° in either direction, can be tilted up to 15° up or down and can be rotated ±3° to ensure that your display is leveled.

The bracket is designed to fit most TVs in the 26" to 47" size range, with weight between 5.5 and 44 lbs (2.5 ~ 20 kg). It comes with all the hardware needed to mount the bracket to a wooden stud or concrete/brick wall surface. Additionally, it comes with eight sets of mounting screws of various sizes to attach the bracket to your display, as well as the Allen keys needed to adjust the arm counterbalance.

    Read this before you mount
For this review, I will first provide some help in mounting because the instructions omit some crucial information. Then I will review the mount. This is the fifth Monoprice mount I have hung in the last year. All of the prior mounts were the heavier black mounts and they all work very well. This time I was hanging a smaller television and decided to try a mount that also ranges higher and lower. Prior to purchase, I read the reviews that say it has poor instructions. Having hung four mounts recently, I figured that would not be a problem. With one exception, that is true. When I opened the box, the mount was in the up position. I tried to move it into a straight position with my hands, to no avail. This is even after loosening the nut. From there, I hung the mount at the height where I wanted the television, thinking the mount's level would be the proper level. From a hanging standpoint, this mount is very easy with three screws. The TV plate comes off easily, meaning you can place the mount flush against the wall with a level and have it up in less than 10 minutes. The key piece missing from the instructions, however, is to hang it higher than you think. Once the TV is placed on the mount, it automatically lowers. You can anchor it at any point on its axis by tightening the nut. But if you hang it at the level where it comes out of the box, you will only be able to lower it. In other words, as I said before, hang it higher than you want the TV. That will allow you to lower the TV from the highest position, which also extends the arm to provide full function.

Once mounted, this is a sturdy mount, like all of my Monoprice mounts. It also swivels very easily. Unlike other reviews, I do not see a problem with the TV lowering, and that problem should be easily fixed by tightening the nut. My primary complaint is with the tilt. It uses two Allen wrench screws, and the Allen wrench is included. I cannot, however, get the screws to tighten very well so the mount is perpetually facing down. Bottom line, the swivel action is the easiest of any of my Monoprice mounts. I move my TVs regularly so this is important to me. With my hint you should be able to hang perfectly in less than 10 minutes. Hopefully there is a way to fix the tilt so it holds a little better.

    PROS: Solid range of motion

    Easy swiveling action

    CONS: Tilt not easily tightened

    Poor instructions

don't push it with large/heavy monitors
We hung some 47" 42 pound monitors on these brackets. We adjusted them occasionally. After a month we went to adjust one and the pin inside one of the arms sheared off (where it was mushroomed like a pop rivet rather than bolted). We're really lucky it didn't come crashing down on someone's head. We are returning the brackets that we used for the big monitors.

PROS: Smooth action is good. Clean looking and stylish. Works well with a 39" monitor.

CONS: Not engineered well enough for heavy monitors 40 pounds.
Can drift a little so that the monitor doesn't stay quite level if you pull it far from the wall. Again this problem gets worse with the heavy monitor.

Great product, but read my installation tips
Before purchasing this wall mount, I read every review and some were extraordinarily helpful, so I would like to "pay it forward" to anyone contemplating this purchase. The user manual leaves questions unanswered, and although I didn't ask Monoprice for help, I am sure their excellent tech support could have supplemented the manual, but hopefully after reading this, you can install it yourself. I was mounting a 27-inch monitor, not a television, and compared to a television, it is relatively small and light (16.7 pounds, according to the spec sheet for item 12520), so keep that in mind when reading this - my experience may not apply to you. I mounted the arm on a wall with wood studs. First, be sure your pilot holes are big enough and deep enough for the screws. I started out with a different screw than the ones that came with the mount (as suggested by another reviewer) and one of them snapped apart inside the wall. So I started over again, using the supplied screws. I had do re-drill one of my pilot holes. My advice is, when screwing into a stud, if you encounter resistance you feel is too great, back out the screw, enlarge the pilot hole, just a little, and try again. Next, the mounting plate has pre-drilled holes for VESA 100 and 200, so if you are mounting a monitor with either of these VESA specs, you don't need the extensions supplied with the unit. The manual does not mention that. The large array of included screws does not include the size you may need for the monitor mount. I used the ones that came with the monitor, no problem. TIP: attach any cables you may need for the monitor before attaching the mounting plate. After the plate is on, it will be more difficult to get to them. Once the wall unit is installed, hold the arm nearest the wall, and press down on the arm closest to the monitor. This will allow you to attach the monitor without having to hold it too high. Attaching the monitor to the arm was way easier than I expected, as was leveling it. The system back there is brilliantly designed. The pre-set tension was exactly right for my monitor so I didn't make any adjustments. Note that the allen screw to adjust the tension is not visible until you lower the arm. This is an important point and the manual doesn't explain it. One reviewer said to mount the wall plate higher than you would intuitively choose, and I am so glad I read that. It will allow you the full range of motion. I mounted mine so the bottom of the wall plate is 13 inches above my desk. I am extremely happy with this purchase. I'm subtracting a couple stars for the inadequate manual, but adding them back for the great design, especially where the monitor attaches to the arm. Solid 10. I hope this helps you.

PROS: Solid, well designed, very high quality.

CONS: Installation manual not so great.

    Great Product!
This is a great mount. Finding the stud is probably the hardest part in the installation! Mounted a 32" tv with this stand. NOTE: the four arms that stick out can be removed to fit smaller VESA patterns. Mine was a 200 and didn't need the arms. Definitely recommend this mount!

PROS: Great mount! Easy to install. Stronger than I thought. Heavy duty. Great price!

    CONS: None

perfect mount for inside kitchen cabinet
Searched for a while for a mount that I could use to put 32 inch TV inside Ikea kitchen cabinet. Most important criteria was had to have both horizontal and vertical adjustment. This mount worked perfectly. Cabinet now looks like it was customized for TV. Only downside was that shipping to Canada almost doubled the price of the mount. But even accounting for the shipping cost was still much cheaper than anything I could find locally. Excellent quality.

    PROS: Vertical and horizontal adjustment

CONS: Cost of shipping to Canada

    Because I was asked.......
With the weight of the TV given the sizes allowed for this unit, it does not get very close to the
wall and when you move it side to side it tends to tilt sideways. This side tilt may be due to the
    operation of the arm also.

All in all, I am satisfied with what I got for the price I paid. It Works....

PROS: The product was as described

CONS: The instillation was a but More difficult that I anticipated. Took two people.
Although it does swivel and tilt, it is not that simple to move.

    Great Bargain
Fantastic product. My TV is just under the 44 lb limit, so movement is a bit slow, but smooth and stable. I have a 42", so again, close to the limit. I have to be careful when I grab the sides of the TV to move it not to accidentally rotate it. Though the arm seems to handle the torque structurally, it does allow for some wobble as the screen settles. I highly recommend it. The price is right!

PROS: Low profile, easy install, bargain price, decent load, universal VESA compatibility, vertical lift!!

CONS: Because of low profile, full extension allows a fair amount of torque with larger screens. This hasn't been a problem for me, personally, but it all depends on how careful the mover is.

    great bracket
Hardest part of install is correctly marking the screw holes with the bracket on the wall, while holding a level next to it. with 2 people, it is easy, and the install will go well as long as one marks the holes accurately.

the arm tension adjustment requires trial and error patience, since it appears that the arm is set to the highest tension, and if you have a lighter TV, as I did, one will have make many turns with the supplied Allen wrench to loosen the tension to easily be able to move the TV up or down. that's not a defect, that's just the way it is. lastly, I would never install this bracket using toggle bolts. when the bracket is extended out from the wall, the forces on the mounting hardware are magnified many times over the TV's actual weight, so i don't believe any toggle bolts will hold.

PROS: well made. bracket allows TV to be adjusted in many ways for the perfect viewing position. very sturdy when mounted correctly into a stud.

    CONS: none

    Best mount ever
I looked long and hard to find this one. We can move the 32" TV down and to the side, almost hiding it next to the couch. Toss a comforter over the screen and the screen disappears. When we want to watch, the screen pops up and rotates to face the couch. Glides very smoothly once the tension adjustments are made. I recommend this mount highly.

PROS: Motion in all directions - up/down, side/side, swivel and tilt.

    CONS: None.

Cheapest monitor lift by a LONG shot
Barely lifts my set and it feels quite rickety, but my set is right at 40 lbs. I use it to lift the set for viewing or lower it for storage. Sure beats the stand that came with the TV and it won't fall if there's a quake.

Went on sale before I received it and Monoprice REFUSED to honer the discount. Underwhelmed with this treatment.

PROS: Tilt, swivel, and LIFT on a spring, screw covers and cable clips, what more can you ask for. Adaptable to almost any size set

CONS: But only made for sets under 40 lbs.

Will this mount work for a 50-55 in tv that falls within the weight limits?
    A shopper on Dec 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: To determine compatibility with a TV mount to your TV, please determine the VESA mounting pattern on the back of your TV. It is the 4 screw hole square formation on the back and it is usually listed on the TV specs or you can find out by measuring it yourself(measured in millimeters). Our TV mounts range from 50x50mm to 1000x700 and up so please check the TV mount specs for compatibility as well. I hope this helps, thank you!
