Great mount but had to modify for my 70" Sharp LC-70LE632U
An awesome mount with great features at a can’t beat price!
However some modifications were needed to make it work with my 70" Sharp. I had to cut 4 inches off the bottom of the mounting brackets (the ones that attach to the set itself. I used a Dremel tool with diamond cutting wheel to cut the bracket and a vise to hold it. Took about 45 min. You could mounted the bracket higher and drilled extra holes in the bracket but this extended the bracket about an inch above the top set and might have been visible from the front during viewing. An easier but possibly uglier solution than cutting the brackets. I used the smaller M8 bracket holes to mount it to the TV. I also had to make a trip to Lowes for the screws that would fit the mounting holes on the back of my Sharp 70” set. Sharp recommends a M6X12mm size screw but the mounting bracket kit from Monoprice only has M8 and M10 size screws. I bought both 16mm and 20mm lengths as I was adding lock washers and wanted a good fit. They were only $1 for a pack of 4 so it was no big deal. Had to play with the bracket orientation to get it to line up to the bar support screw holes. This part would in turn attach to the extending arm part of the mount that was attached into the wall. The directions were of almost no help and I think would have been very confusing even in a normal, non modified installation. All of this did add time on to what would otherwise have been an easy installation.

Even with all of the modifications and fiddling I had to do, I would buy it again. You just can’t beat the price on a tilt/pan wall mount for this large a set.

    PROS: Great price!

CONS: Had to modify and did not come with mounting screws (M6X12mm) for a Sharp LED set.

Great Product, Poor Directions, Read This B4 Install
Now that it's done and up, and is all good. Here's a key point. My install was into an entertainment center, where the TV is surrounded on all 4 sides by a wood cabinet. The arms take it out to the front of the cabinet, where it floats perfectly with about 2" of clearance on all 4 sides. I measured the lay-out repeatedly and obsessively, since I only wanted to drill and place the unit once. When everything was installed and I hung the TV, I was crushed to see that it was not centered vertically, but rather had a large gap at the top of the set, and a very small gap at the bottom. I re-checked all of my calculations, rechecked my measurements on the wall, and then realized there had been no computational or measurement error, I simply hadn't allowed for the "droop" which a 65" plasma will cause in the arms. Circled back to tech support and they said yes, that flex is normal and expected. I would guesstimate that for anyone installing into a set-up like mine, where exact vertical placement will be important, that the "droop" factor is about 1 1/4 inches for fully extended arms. Hope that saves somebody from the re-install that I got to do. But it all works fine. In fact, to my friends at Monoprice, if you guys ever rework the directions for this product, add a heads up on the droop customers can expect. It's valuable knowledge.

PROS: Super heavy duty, functions extremely well, and a typically great Monoprice price.

CONS: Directions were a train wreck. Took a couple text sessions with Monoprice Level 2 Technical Support to get it sorted out. They couldn't believe how bad the instructions were either.

This Wall Bracket is No Joke!! (It's Heavy Duty)
I installed this on a Panasonic TC-P65VT25, however it required some modification....I had to drill the metal bracket that attaches to the back of the T.V.- which with a little lay out is no big deal. If you are mounting the T.V. high in the room, you will also have to cut the bottom of the bracket, as it sticks down (just a little) where it could be visible. I however did not due this as I mounted it so the T.V. leans forward and is just slightly above eye level when I'm sitting. The installation/modifications took about 40 min total (however, I would consider myself pretty "handy" and I have all the necessary tools).
I am delighted with this wall mount!!! You can buy 6 of these for what you pay locally for a comparable bracket that carries this much weight. If you mount it securely to the wall, you don't have to worry about your T.V. ever coming down!

    PROS: Very Heavy Duty
    Great Value
    Good Range of Motion

CONS: May not fit your T.V.

    great mount for alrge/heavy TV's
Best wall mount by far that I have bought here or any of my friends have seen here or anwhere. It was a struggle for me to mount it by myself but I would recommend help for 99% of the people out there to at least get it started. Then it's all cake from there. The built in level will get you pretty close with where the unit needs to be but I used a more accurate one down at the mounting plate for the TV to get it really dialed in (A previous mount had beed nothing but trouble)
Along with the recomendation about being able to tighten the tilt on both sides I would recomment using the most flexible cable you can find if you want to hide it in the supplied cable covers.......it looks VERY nice if you use the trays....but some people don't care about what's behind the TV so do what you want. I used the CLE 28AWG wire from monoprice. I was worried that it might be just as bad as the 24AWG wire because it looks about the same size physically but it was more flexible and has not popped any covers off as of yet.
One more install sidenote. I was a little woried that I couldn't lock both sides down because this TV is so bulky that 2 other "normally" adequate mounts couldn't hold it level so I bit my lip and drilled a small hole in the side of the bracket with no locking lever on it and inserted a pin in it wth hot glue from a glue gun....so far it's solid as a rock but would need to be redrilled if you wanted to change that adjustment. Not a problem for me because I like the max tilt due to my TV almost touching the ceiling.
One more final suggestion? All of these mounts have small baseplated that can just barely reach between the standard 16" studs.....it would be really nice if the plates are bigger so you could center the TV weight. Another track Monoprice could probably sell a lot off? Bracket extentions from where it mounts to a wall. I put my TV over a fireplace so it was important to get everything dead center.....not pussible if the studs are not in exactly the right place. I compensated with some sheat rock anchores and the one stud I could get to, but that's not ideal.

PROS: Very smooth action for pushing/pulling the unit to anyplace you need it.
This mount is so massive that I no longer worry about the 60" 95 lb plasma TV being too much for it to handle.

CONS: Very heavy and you shouldn't try mounting it without a little help. One the first bolt is most of the way in the rest are easy.
Like most wall mounts like this, it only has one locking lever to tighten it in place and I couldn't get a wrench on it to tighten it. This makes getting and keeping the TV level harder than it needs to be. I would have paid more for one on each side

Wall mount for my 60' Sharp
I used other reviewer's advice and used lag screws from the local hardware store.

I had to buy four 1-1/2" M6 bolts to attach the vertical brackets through the spacers into my TV.

In order to fit the brackets out of sight and away from the input terminals, I had to trim the vertical brackets and drill two holes. Not a big deal but worth mentioning.

PROS: Very durable and heavy. Looks like it will do the job niceley.

CONS: Instructions are poorly written (translated I assume).

The product got beat up a bit during shipment. They could have used better packaging to isolate movement of parts within the box. The inner box was ripped up pretty good but the outside box was not damaged.

Works Great for Samsung not Panasonic
Highly recommend. This thing holds my 65" plasma up no problem even when I'm moving it around quickly. Samsung E550 worked perfect, but as stated, the Panasonic ST50 needed so adjustment/drilling work. I didn't drill into the TV, just the bracket itself.

    PROS: SOLID.
    Easy to install.

CONS: Does not fit Panasonic 65" ST50 so I had to screw holes into the brackets that mount flush onto the TV.

    Excellent Mount for extreme weight!
This mount was more than I needed for a 55" TV. Mounting was easy. The mount is very sturdy. The tv is about 12 inches away from the wall. This works for my living room but may stick out too far and disappoint other people.

    PROS: Sturdy
    180degree
    price

    CONS: huge
    massive
    heavy

    You can't beat this deal!
    Solid mount with great adjustability!

PROS: Incredibly well built! Smooth operation, no slop in movement. Better than other mounts costing 5x as much!

CONS: Had to modify to properly fit my 60" Sharp Aquos LED (drill new holes), but expected that based on other reviews. Also went to local hardware store for proper hardware to attach mount to TV.

Strongest Monoprice extending mount so far
It takes some effort to pull a heavy TV in and out with this mount, as with the other Monoprice mounts that I have used. A Chief brand mount of similar design is much smoother and easier to extend/retract, however, it MSRPs for about 10 times the price of Monoprice mounts and most of my customers have opted to save the money and have chosen the Monoprice mount. Not one has regretted it. The Monoprice mount swivles from side to side very easily and smoothly. It is only pulling the TV out from the wall and pushing it back in that takes some effort.

PROS: This dual arm mount is the strongest extending mount they currently sell. I wanted this level of strength for an older 60" plasma that weighed about 125. I have installed a bunch of their "dual aluminum armed" extending mounts on 50" plasmas (about 100) and they are plenty strong enough for that, but I wanted something stronger and with less flex for the heavier 60" TV, and that is exactly what I got.

CONS: Be prepared to do some cutting of sheet metal with a hack saw. The part of the mount that screws directly to the TV will likely need to be cut, but it was quickly done by hand with a hack saw. The vertical arms of the bracket were too long for my TV and were hitting a bulge in the back of the TV. All it took was a straight cut through the sheet metal "arms" to trim them to size. No big deal.

    Super Excellent
We needed to mount a 45" LCD and have sufficient swing with the bracket so that the TV could swing right or left at 90 degrees to the wall.

By using the bracket (designed for larger TVs), we were able to get exactly what we needed (there is sufficient clearance with the adjustable swing posts mounted slightly off center). The adjustments are excellent and it is a ROCK SOLID MOUNT!

Thank you for the always excellent MonoPrice value and quality

Is this mount compatible with Samsung 65" curved TV ?
    Kurnesh A on Nov 28, 2016
BEST ANSWER: To determine compatibility with a TV mount to your TV, please determine the VESA mounting pattern on the back of your TV. It is the 4 screw hole square formation on the back and it is usually listed on the TV specs or you can find out by measuring it yourself(measured in millimeters). Our TV mounts range from 50x50mm to 1000x700 and up so please check the TV mount specs for compatibility as well. I hope this helps, thank you!
