Will these mount to an electrical wall box?
    A shopper on Apr 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Not cleanly. They are not the same shape as an electrical wall box. You could probably rig something up to attach the mount to a wall plate.
Can you use to mount on ceiling?
    A shopper on Dec 9, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You could but it might not pivot enough to angle your speakers where you want them also be aware that they don’t hold all that much weight

    No compatible screws or bolts
I would give these a 5 if the supplied hardware had something that worked with the embedded mounting nut in the back of the satellite speakers I purchased from Monoprice - Product ID 10800

PROS: Low profile - easy to use.

CONS: A bit disappointed in that none of the supplied mounting bolts and screws were compatible with the embedded mounting nut on the back of the satellite speaker - also purchased from Monoprice.

I found that a bit puzzling. I suggest Monoprice looks into this. Any mounting hardware purchased from Monorprice should be 100% compatible with Monoprice's mountable products - like satellite speakers.

    Not suitable for bottom-mounted speakers
    (see cons above)

    PROS: Cheap.

CONS: Not suitable for my Polk surround speakers that have bottom-mounted screws. The product description says "single-bolt mounting system" but it does not contain any clear indication that it was only suitable for speakers with a back-mounted screw.

    Speaker Wall Brackets
    Love 'em.

PROS: FIt the Bose speakers very well, easy install and adjustments, solid.

    CONS: None

Mounted some Polk OWM3 surrounds to the wall with these. Worked great. The ball style mount tilts up and down and swivels for adjustment. Both adjustment directions have teeth to lock the position when you screw the thumbscrew. Did not have the right screw to mount to the speaker's single hole threaded mount though.

Screws don't match up with Monoprice item 10565
I ordered these to use with my new Monoprice premium 5.1 system, item 10565. These are pretty easy to figure out how to install. The only issue is that the screws that come with the units DO NOT fit the satellite speakers in the Monoprice 5.1 system. I find this a bit odd.

It would be great if they were compatible. Fortunately, I found some screws that went into the back of the Monoprice satellites, and with a bid of drilling, etc., I made these work.

PROS: Cheap, easy to use, decent quality.

CONS: Don't use with Monoprice 10565

    Seriously Monoprice?????
These block the speaker port and don't have the right screw for your most popular surround speaker set.

CONS: $4, but you'll need to spend another $10 to use them!

    Great mounts for small surrounds
    As above

    PROS: Easy to install
    Work perfectly with Dayton surrounds

    CONS: None

    Needs appropriate screws!
Good price but, seriously, this doesn't have the screws to attach speakers...

    So far, so good.
In spite of the couple of cons, I'm very happy with the mounts. I just moved into a condo with pre-wired surround sound, so I had little choice but to mount my speakers to the walls up close to the ceiling. This isn't the ideal spot for sound quality, but the speaker mounts made it easier to deal with. They're highly adjustable, allowing you to aim the speaker anywhere in the room with relative ease. The mounts are plastic but seem durable and well made. The speakers haven't moved or slipped at all since putting them up a couple of weeks ago. I don't think you can ask for much more than that. For the price, I'm happy to make the adjustments that I had to make to get them to work with my speakers. Definitely recommended.

PROS: Seems durable, easy to adjust, easy to hang speakers, small, does what it is designed to do and does it well.

CONS: I purchased these to use with Monoprice's Premium 5.1-Ch. Home Theater System with Subwoofer (Product Number: 10565) and they don't exactly work together. The bolt to attach the speaker to the mount is the wrong size (you'll need a 1/4-20, 1/2 inch.) Also, the Monoprice speakers must be mounted upside down (not a huge deal, just flip the front speaker covers and no one will ever know) in order to not cover up the bass reflex hole on the back of the speaker. Although I'm sure these are made to be more universal, it seems like they should work well with Monoprice's own speakers.

    Sloid Cube Speaker Mounts
These mounts are great if you're using them for small/cube-like rear surround speakers. They're plenty strong for that application and easy enough to adjust the direction of the speakers before you set it and forget it. Can't beat the price either. I'm sure these would hold a small bookshelf speaker if you could find a stud in the wall to anchor them.

My only quibble with them is that I was hoping for a way to hide the speaker wires within the mount before they hooked up to the speakers. I couldn't figure out a way to do it, but that's not a huge deal considering the price.

    PROS: Cheap

    Easy to install

    Strong enough

    CONS: Hard to hide wiring
