Hi-Fi Premium Noise Isolating Earbuds Headphones - Black & Red
Get great sound on the go with these Hi-Fi Premium Noise Isolating Earphones from Monoprice!
These earphones excel at reproducing both the lows and highs, so they are well-suited for every type of music, from rock to dubstep to classical. These 'phones accurately follow drops and can maintain the low sustains, while still producing bright mids and highs.
These earphones feature a strain-relief clip on each ear piece to help prevent damage to the cord. Three different sized ear buds ensure that these 'phones will always have the right fit.
Note: For best results these earphones should be broken in by playing pink noise through them for about 24 hours. The difference in sound quality before and after the pink noise break-in period can be quite dramatic.

Questions and Answers
I broke these headphones in for 24 hours with Pink Noise and the sound did actually get better. When I first heard them I was disappointed.... I would highly recommend breaking them in with Pink Noise.
Highs (8) Surprisingly I found these highs better than the 8320 monoprice headphones. They are clean and crisp and not too overwhelming that they hurt ears. I would say from an audiophile standpoint they are nothing amazing but definitely good for the price.
Mids (8) Mids are decent I would say about the same as the 8320s. Still quality mids for the price.
Lows (8) Lows are solid. I am definitely missing the large 14.2 mm Driver from the 8320. But hey these cost less than those and are smaller! I would say these drivers pull all the way from 100hz - 20hz with no problem. I would say the Lows are louder than the 8320 headphone. This is neither good nor bad. It defiantly isn't too much or overwhelming just a bit more equalized for the lows.
Overall Solid headphone. I would say it ranks pretty well in my book for the price. I am actually going to use this headphone for when I go working out or for music at work.
Monoprice Headphone Leaderboard:
PROS: 1) Price
2) Protective Wire Holder on the earbud itself (to protect the wire entrance into the headphone)
3) Look and Feel
CONS: 1) None ....
PROS: Very, very decent sound for the price. Reasonably comfortable.
CONS: I know there is a huge difference between noise canceling vs. noise isolating, but if something is advertised (or even entitled) as noise isolating, one would expect outside sound to be isolated at least a bit...
PROS: Amazing fit, perfect sound, excellent isolation and seal. They also seem to shrug off sweat and water. The rubberized coating on the cord keeps it from sliding off your ears if you wear the cord "over the ear" like I do. Cord length is perfect to reach a shorts pocket for my height (5'10") with about 6" slack. Understated style and easy to keep clean. The connector end has a good strain relief on it to prevent kinks and pressure the jack of devices. Great value!
CONS: If I had to find a con it would be that the rubberized cord is more difficult to untangle than a smooth cord.
My go to earphones were Sony's because they were the least expensive for the sound quality and constant replacement factor with my teen. The last few pairs of Sony's I paid for were not working and the quality of the product had gone down.
We use Monoprice for a lot household wires HDMI, RCA, Banana Plugs, etc. I happened on a sale one day and saw these headphones and thought I'd give them a try and we've been sold on them since the first pair.
Initially I bought 3 pairs one for myself, one for my daughter and one spare. Well, I was quickly down to one pair so I reordered 6 more and hid them for safe keeping. :) The sound quality is far superior to the Sony's we were using before, and much better than a lot of the other name brand units sold at Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart, etc. My daughter and I both love them and teens are not always easy to please.
I'm always cautious when trying new products, especially ones you can't physically hold or examine. I've been very pleased with every purchase from MonoPrice and these earphones are no exception. The earphone wires are solid, the design is different, but not in a bad way. They fit well in my ears and with the extra buds, even my wife and daughter found them very comfortable. Even the packaging is great, if not a little big.
All in all, we would and have purchased these earphones again without question.
PROS: Excellent sound quality, comfortable fit, good quality
CONS: None. Different colors would be a plus.
PROS: Really enjoying these earphones. They fit very snug in my ear, and the quality is the best yet from earphones I've ordered from Monoprice. I own a $200 set of AudioTechnica headphones, and when I don't want to lug those around, this one is nearly as good for literally 5% of the cost. Definitely recommending!
Though I do love them I must say that I've haven't really had a pair that lasted longer than 6 months. One side of the headphones tends to stop working and I have to order another pair. That being said, I haven't really had other pairs that have lasted much longer expect a rather expensive pair.
I would absolutely recommend, these continue to be my go to headphones and though they may only last half a year, for the price you can't beat them.
PROS: Great sound
CONS: Maybe not meant to last very long.
Lots of reviewers cite "Great for the price". Even if they were free, I wouldn't want to use these. I wasn't expecting a high-end product, but I was at least hoping for something listenable that could be semi-disposable to use in harsh conditions. I bought 2 pairs, and I'm not sure what to do with either one of them.
Sorry to be so harsh, but I think Monoprice and potential buyers deserve my honest opinion. Maybe I'm spoiled by higher end earbuds.
CONS: Dull and lifeless, no crisp mids or highs, nothing but tubby, boomy bass.
PROS: Crisp sound, good enough bass, great value
PROS: Sound quality! Price.
CONS: Nothing so far.
PROS: Very good sound.
CONS: I have some concern on the stress relief design, but so far, so good.
