    AC750 Wireless Dual Band Router

Break out of the crowded 2.4GHz wireless band using this AC750 Wireless Dual band Router from Monoprice!

Pros: Set up ok-only had it 2 weeks-seems to work ok as an access point at this time

Cons: Had to fish around to find the setting

OK out of the box-set up fairly easy since I have done this before. Had to fish around to fine the IP address to get into it and set the settings

    WiFi resets a lot

Pros: Fairly easy to set up. Disabling DHCP wasn't a problem, though it was a bit confusing the first time around (nothing a hard reset & do-over didn't solve).

Cons: No real complaints about this router other than the fact that the wifi resets periodically. It comes back on its own, which is nice, but if I'm doing anything that requires continuous data (e.g. streaming) over wireless, it gets interrupted when the network drops. Both 2.4 and 5 GHz drop at the same time (usually, but not always). Tried different channels (in fact the 5GHz channel is completely empty, guess most of my neighbors haven't modernized yet woohoo), to no avail. This problem doesn't happen when I pull my other router out of the faraday cage and use it instead of the monoprice one, so I don't think it's any issue with that anyways.

I've even seen it drop while I'm logged in, by chance. Basically it'll go from this:

    Wireless 2.4GWireless Status : Enable
    SSID : nottellingyou
    Radio Mode : AP
    Authentication Type : WPA/WPA2-PSK
    Channel : 1
    MAC Address : nottellingyouthiseither
    WPS Status : Disable

    to this:

    Wireless 2.4GWireless Status : Enable
    SSID :
    Radio Mode :
    Authentication Type :
    Channel :
    MAC Address : nottellingyoustill
    WPS Status :

Sort of goes blank while it resets. I only noticed that once while logged in.

Have yet to test it over wired internet, will update when I do.

I've got this router set up as an AP, the only wireless router on my network (the other router is in a virtual faraday cage so it ain't doing s*** useful lol).

Update: DHCP settings randomly reset, which causes massive problems.

Thank you for your review and I am truly sorry for the inconvenience you're encountering with this router. On the offchance you may have just encountered a defective router, did you want to try a replacement? We have other routers as well so if you want you can try those too. Please let me know, thank you!

Pros: Worked in seconds. Plug it in and works. If you are a tech geek I am sure it has its down sides. I plugged in, followed the very brief instructions, changed passwords and had all my devices up an running in minutes. Small footprint.

Cons: 5GHZ range is verrrry limited, but 5GHZ speeds are very fast. Very brief instruction manual.

hooked it up and it works. 5GHZ range is pretty week, but does not appear any worse then any other 5GHZ router near this price range.

    Does the job

    Pros: Affordable

    Cons: None yet

Our cable guys who installed said the 750 would be slow that we have at least 1200 but it seems to work fine. Only concern is the label print is so small we had to take a pic with phone then enlarge to read it.

    Unbelievable for the money

Pros: Fairly easy set-up and although I can't get the 5 gig stream yet, I don't think it's an issue with the unit.

Cons: Can't get the 5 gig stream but I have some troubleshooting to do before I write off the unit.

I bought this router to stream from my computer to my smart TV. I haven't had it very long but so far it's working perfectly.
