PROS: Easy to install professional look cheap
CONS: Product description is lacking sufficient detail to ensure customers buy compatible products.
PROS: uh.. they are a great price and it ends there. They should have the word SLIM removed and item be put on clearance!
CONS: This item along with items 10040, 10041, 10042, 10043, 10044, 10045, 10046 and 10047 are NOT SLIM and will not fit SIDE by SIDE as advertised. These items are virtually and visually identical in width to their other Cat5 Keystones. My research today shows, Monoprice was notified and knew of this issue as early as 1/30/13 (see review item 10041) and acknowledged by representative John Lingo. This was almost 2 years ago! It was identified and acknowledged again by John Lingo on item 10042 review dated 5/6/14. What up Monoprice?
Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about the issues experienced with these keystones. The “Slim” description for these keystones refers to the difference in width when compared to our regular Cat5e punch down keystones such as PID 5376. If I may ask, did you use one of our wall plates with these keystones? If so, what is the PID of the wall plate? I should mention that these keystones will not fit side-by-side in our wall plates that have 6 or more holes due to the limited spacing between each however they will fit with wall plates that have 4 or fewer holes. Please let me know so I can pass this info along to our product team. I will also put in a suggestion to have the descriptions revised. Apologies again for any inconvenience and hope this helps!

PROS: It works as a network connection when punched correctly. Really not much more to say here. Oh, it's inexpensive yet still effective. That's always a plus!
CONS: Still cannot fit side-by-side in Monoprice's 8 Hole, 2-Gang Keystone Wall Plate.
PROS: Easy to wire up.
CONS: These are not "slim".
Apart from the false advertising, these work ok, but there's no means to secure the jack to the cable besides the wires themselves. The tool-less jacks are better because you can easily zip-tie the cable to the jack, to secure it from tugging. These slim jacks have no provision for that.
PROS: They work, but not well.
CONS: Does not fit side-by-side into Monoprice's 8-hole, 2-gang Keystone wall plate.
The "Slim" designation is completely false. They are the exact same width as the jacks that are not marked "Slim".
CONS: Incorrect information on web site when ordering they won't fit the keystone patch panels although they tell you to order these if using them in the patch panel.
- Pros: Inexpensive, quality construction, wiring diagram for either 568A or B, worked as advertised in Monoprice wall plate
- Cons: Price dropped slightly since purchased, could have saved a dollar (sarcasm)
