Electrical Precision Cutter for Wire Up to 0.9mm
These handy wire cutters are perfect for snipping small wires up to 0.9mm thick, such as those found in Cat5e and Cat6 cables. The angled cutting end makes it easy to cut flush with a flat surface, such as a wall, and gives you clear line of sight to the cutting point for precision placement of the cut. The pointed tip allows you to easily cut individual wires within a tight bundle.
The grips are made of red plastic, with blue rubber grips for added insulation, comfort, and grip. The bright, contrasting colors mean you won't overlook these cutters when you clean up the worksite and they are easy to locate within your tool box.
They can get in very close, so I use them primarily for trimming keystone zip ties and Cat6 wire.
Don't use on steel or other hard metals if you want them to last very long.
PROS: Inexpensive, great quality, cuts well
CONS: Not suitable for hard metals
PROS: Definitely worth the price
CONS: Handles are quite bulky
PROS: nice comfortable handles beveled blades are nice and sharp

I've had these cutters for years. I only use them on small wires and zip-ties. They may have some scratches but they are in great shape and work well for their purpose. The angled tip allows you to get right up next to what you're cutting, giving you as flush of a cut as you can get.
These cutters are lightweight due to the flat metal components and the handles being mostly plastic. The handles are nice and large with a good texture, giving these cutters a great feel.
PROS: Cuts flush and clean
CONS: Why do the handles have "wings" that stick out at the ends?
PROS: Great handles, but user must be careful not to over-torque the work.
PROS: countoured design to hand.
Spring back works well.
CONS: Monoprice should manufacture a larger size, full-on wire cutters for something like 12 guage or 14 guage electrical wire (copper conductors NMD). While this might work on the wire, I would refrain and save this for lower voltage, smaller gauge wire.
