Will this allow you to use a headset with a mic?

Probably not. It is only stereo. Most headsets with a mic would require 3 channels. One channel for the mic and two for each ear on the headset.

Fits with Bose QC 35 2
I bought this to use with the Bose QuietComfort 35 II headphones. The plastic molding didn't block anything and this part stays snapped into place during use.

Nice try, but it did not work for my application
It did not work for my application. Turns out that it did not fit my 3.5mm plug (three rings) from my Bose Headphones. Oh well. It was worth a try. Ill see if I can find it from a different source.

Does the job
I really purchased something that outputted in an 2.5 mm jack so my headphones wouldn't fit. These allowed me to use my headphones on it. These feel solid and I would recommend this product
