    Flawless with Alienware M11x
I ordered an Alienware M11x laptop, which only comes with HDMI and DP ports. I ordered this adapter so that I'd be able to use it to project when giving presentations, and it's worked flawlessly for me. Note that DisplayPort connectors "lock" in, so remember to depress the release button when removing the adapter from your laptop.

    Works when others don't
This adapter works when others don't. I have a low power GPU with 4 Mini-DP outputs, and the cheaper Monoprice adapter couldn't get a signal through. I guess this manages the power better or something, but I plugged it in and am now happily using the 4th monitor "because I can."

    PROS: Works as intended.

CONS: Expensive for an adapter, but you get what you pay for.

PROS: Cheap and they work well. The video quality is good

CONS: Brittle and bulky. Have to strain relieve or the connector wears out quickly. I have replaced multiple times on the same machine. But the price makes it not a deal breaker

Does exactly what it says on the tin
Does the job it is supposed to do. Small, lightweight but easily surviving being thrown in my bag and taken from classroom to classroom.

PROS: Works perfectly with my Alienware M11X

    works great with eyefinity
Popped into my 5850 and worked great. Only oddness is that I can't reboot the machine and have the monitors still work right, I have to shut down then power back up again. But paying $100 for the Apple or Dell adapter is just silly with this guy. I'm running at 1920x1080 on this adapter with no issues.

    Saved the day
Have two large monitors on system (24 and 25 inch). Wanted to use 55 inch 1080p wall hung TV as 'larger monitor' for group 'teaching sessions'. This active adapter accomplished this job very successfully, allowing third monitors on Intel i-7 based system. VGA obviously can't carry sound. There should be a Display port to HDMI Adapter, active if necessary, to carry sound.

PROS: The Adapter worked as advertised.
Monoprice orders are usually RECEIVED on second or third day after order placed That's a12 rating.

    CONS: None

    Worked great
I needed to connect a group of new computers with Display Port connectors to a VGA KVM switch. These adapters worked great, and they were a good price.

Perfect, affordable solution for running a second external monitor from my ThinkPad docking station. Small, great signal...perfect!

    Great
I have a XFX 5770 video card and bought this in place of the $99 dollar Dell adapter that XFX recommended in order to enable the third monitor. Plugged this adapter into the displayport and as soon as my computer booted up my third monitor was recognized and active. Very happy that I didn't have to spend another $80 on what arguably should have been a feature already built into the card.
