Premium USB to Micro USB Charge & Sync Cable 6ft- White
The USB micro B connector has become the new universal standard connector used on most smartphones and tablets. This premium USB 2.0 cable features a USB A male plug on one end and a USB micro B male plug on the other end. The polycarbonate connector heads are designed to fit through most phone and tablet cases, so you don't need to remove the case to charge or sync your device.
The connector heads measure 0.51" x 0.36" x 0.25" (13.0 x 9.3 x 6.3 mm) on the USB micro B end and 0.51" x 0.55" x 0.25" (13.0 x 13.8 x 6.3 mm) on the USB A end. The gold plated connectors ensure a smooth, corrosion-free connection. The cable is shielded to protect against signal interference and data loss.
- 100% compliant with USB 2.0 specifications
- Gold plated connectors ensure a smooth, corrosion-free connection
- Ultra-thin polycarbonate connector heads fit through most phone/tablet cases
- Shielded to protect against external signal interference
PROS: Cable feels quality and doesn't bend too much too easily.
Connectors are solid as is jacketing behind the connector.
CONS: None that I've found thus far.
My last monoprice micro USB cable was a real heavy gauge cable with a ferrite core. The micro USB plug wore out over the span of a year and I had to plug it in "just right" in order for it to charge my devices. I'm hoping this new design doesn't wear out quite so quickly.
PROS: works well with my fast charger
These fit the bill as the amperage is identical to the 2 OEM cables I have for my Samsung devices.
PROS: Works great
PROS: It charges my Nexus 7 with the same speed as OEM 3ft Asus cable.
This cable is thin and flexible.
CONS: Micro-B Type connector could be a little longer, it is not as secure on my Nexus 7 as OEM
PROS: Long, Perfect Fitment, Allows fast charge
CONS: None so far
The Galaxy Charging current app reports that the original Samsung cable provides an average amperage of 1100mA to 1300mA. This cable provides 1800mA constant. That talks a lot about the quality. Physically the cable is more flexible than Samsung's original cable, longer and the micro USB plugs into the phone firmly. Not too firm as some cheap cables out there. But not as flimsily as the Samsung cable either. Overall, a very good purchase. Will definitely order more of these.
-Better Current carrying capacity (as compared to samsung's original cable)
-Better micro usb plug (as compared to samsung's original cable)
CONS: None at all.
