Worked well at first...but have held up POORLY over the last year
I have purchased 10 of these cables over the last year and a half. Over the course of that time only 2 out of the 10 are still reliable. The rest have lost their snugness and do NOT provide a tight connection. Because of that I wouldn't really recommend these. It looks like the price has tripled since I bought mine, so I will be looking elsewhere for my next micro-usb cable purchase. I you have a situation where you're going to be plugging and unplugging on a frequent basis this may not be the cable for you. Also if you value reliability and need to know that you can just plug the cable in and it will work, this may not be the cable for you. Maybe I got a bad batch or two, but I have not had much luck with these cables (which has certainly been atypical of my experience with monoprice products in the past). I'm rating this cable a 2 since 2 are still 10's while the other 8 are 0's.

    PROS: Cheap

    Snug fit at first

Did the job for maybe 6-8 months

CONS: They aren't making a reliable connection any more

Maybe I got a bad batch or two?

    Meh.
The cable charges quickly, but after about two months of use, the Micro-USB jack will not secure into the port on the phone. I have the bend the wires in an odd fashion in order to get it to work. I guess the quality matches the cheap pricing.

    PROS: 1) High-Speed

    2) Semi-sturdy

    CONS: 1) Unsecure Micro-USB jack

I'm impressed with these at the price I paid. I did not have to wait long for them to ship either. Works great on my Nexus 7. Works great on my BB phone. Works great on my bluetooth headsets.

    PROS: Solid Build construction.
    Solid performance.

    CONS: None

Works great directly connected to my Palm Pre
Bought these so I'd have spare USB sync/charge cables for my Palm Pre. They work exactly as expected. I do not have a Touchstone, but from all I've read, you'd have to modify the end of this connector to fit it. But for a direct connection to the Pre, these are great.

    Hello,

I came upon the cord through a website (http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-micro-usb-cable/) seeing as it was the 1 on it's ratings.

Some details before the cord review:

I have a Google Nexus 6 (2014) from AT&T that supports quick charging.

I had to purchase a new cord because the factory cord that comes with the phone was damaged because someone placed a chair on top of the cord and sat on it causing the internal wiring to be fried.

I purchased two of these because I needed one for my wall adapter and to leave one inside my car.

    Review:

This cable is greatly exceeded my expectations for several reasons. First of all the overall quality of the cord looks and feels nice. When I look at the cord, I think to myself, "This cord is going to last me a while for sure!" Second the cord is very compatible with QuickCharging devices and will deliver all the electricity (sorry don't know the correct term haha) it receives from any wall adapter. The cord is nice and thick which makes it feel very secure and less likely to break in my opinion compared to other cords.

However, there are small, very insignificant problems depending on the person, to the cord. Since the cord is thick, it is a little on the stiff side and can cause the micro usb to disconnect from the phone especially since the ferrite core is close to it. Coiling isn't very effective since it doesn't stay compact but honestly, that's a good thing because you're less likely to have it break from being folded in half. Also the Micro-USB connector for the phone is a little bulky for my taste and you will have difficulty connecting the cord if your phone case slot is small. I had to switch to a different phone case.

Overall like I mentioned before, the cord is great and cheap! I would recommend all my friends to this cord.

    PROS: Durability

    Thickness of Cord

    Price

    Overall Quality

CONS: Micro-USB is a little big for some phone cases

Cord is a little stiff (look at review for more info)

PROS: Got this because a 1.5 ft is too short. I ordered several of these, and one to carry around with me for transferring data between computer and devices and also for charging.

    CONS: None

    Good cable
You cannot beat MonoPrice's prices on this or anything else I bought from them. A similar cable at FutureShop/BestBuy runs $20+. Even WalMart will charge in excess of $15. Even with the shipping to Canada it's a steal. (I got this as part of a 5 cable order and the whole order, including shipping, was cheaper than buying a single cable locally.

Build quality is excellent and the connectors and cable feel solid and well protected.

One minor thing to keep in mind is that the cable is a little thicker than usual so it may not fit on cable management hooks designed for thinner cables.

BEST charging cable we have ever had
BEST CHARGING CABLE EVER! Toughest cable we have ever had. My wife is really hard on her charging cables. the Samsung branded ones last her a couple months (at $25 a pop), the heavy duty ones last about a month (at $10 each), the grocery store ones only last about a week (at $5 a pop), this one has already lasted over a month and was less than $10 with shipping.

PROS: This cable is the most robust (toughest), and fastest charging cable we have ever used! It is even better than the Samsung branded cords we have used. The price is better than all the other heavy duty cords we have tried too.

CONS: The 3ft length is a little short for our applications, so we are going to try the 10 foot version next.
