    Good, wish i got longer
Used this in the car with USB ciggy lighter adapter to charge my Motorola Droid phone. Works well, and can charge better than cheap car chargers do.

PROS: It has nice strong "latch" prongs, so it would hold the connection with the device better than other cheap connectors I have used.

CONS: I bought a cord that was too short! Back for a longer one :-)

Great for the Raspberry Pi 3
I bought these because I had been getting power issues with almost every other Micro USB cable I tried, even OEM charging cables and other MonoPrice cables (the slim ones from their Select series). Other cables, even ones that work great for everything else, simply can't supply the current needed by the power-hungry Pi 3. After swapping out for these cables, I haven't had a single low-voltage indicator. Great cables (the Select series are great too, just don't try to power a Pi with them smartphones use high-voltage charging and don't have the same issue).

PROS: Able to deliver much higher current than most phone charging cables.

CONS: Bulky, less flexible than slimmer cables

    Another home run
I recently bought a Palm Pre and needed an extra data cable. Sprint doesn't sell them and Best Buy wanted $15 for a cobbled together USB cable with a micro USB adapter that the guy said would charge the Pre, but not allow for any data transfer.

I checked Monoprice (which SHOULD have been my first step!) and found this one for under a buck. It works flawlessly. Of course, it shipped fast and the process was as painless as you would expect from monoprice.

If you have a Palm Pre, you MUST buy one of these.

    cable for palm pre
I bought this cable to use for my Palm Pre. It works perfectly to charge and copy files to and from the Pre just as the original cable does.

The thick micro usb connector might be too big for devices that have a case. The premium cable is much thinner.

CONS: The cable and connector is thick.

Cannot recommend this cable - poor connector retention, intermittent
I bought a couple of these for charging my cel-pones on a road-trip. After a couple of days, the connectors no longer felt "snug" - insertion was "limp" and there was no longer any retention to speak of... the cable would fall out if I sneezed.

When I returned home, I got out my digital calipers - these connectors are 0.010" thinner than others, such as the OEM cable provided by my LG/Nexus 5 phone, and HTC One X phone. Further, the top-side retaining "fangs" were noticeably recessed into the connector housing... I used an X-Acto knife to gently pry these retaining fangs back up to the same protrusion as the Nexus/HTC connectors, but after one insertion, they were again sunken back into the connector housing :-(

Peering into the end of this Micro-B end, comparing against other OEM cables:

-the connections inside the MicroB end are noticeably "flatter" and not arched like the OEM cables

-the end-pins (power???) are not raised like the OEM cables

Overall, it seems these connectors are not made with a springy connector-material (like phosphor-bronze), but instead they use a material which quickly fatigues and relaxes away from connecting. There are some dimensional differences too.

Overall, I cannot recommend this cable. I wish I could, because there is a dearth of higher-current (24AWG or even 22AWG for the power) cables...

    PROS: Inexpensive

Heavier-gauge power wires in cable, intended for charging higher-current devices (ie tablets)

CONS: Intermittent connection after short usage

Poor connector retention after short usage

I've purchased other Monoprice charging cables and they've been fine, but the 1.5 ft ones must have a flaw because neither of the two I purchased will stay plugged in.

    Order 9667545 (1/6/2014).

    PROS: Inexpensive. Fast shipping.

CONS: Won't stay plugged into my S4.

I had a hard time finding a short cable and this was one of the few ones I could find at a fair price. Works with my Sprint EVO perfectly.
