    Great Purchase
    I got this for 1/4 the price of what I would have paid at a B&M store. This product has come in very handy for transferring my 30 odd miniDV tapes from Sony camcorder to .avi format. I then went onto make DVDs from that .avi files. I could not imagine accomplishing this task without this awesome piece of equipment.

    I have recommended this product to my family and friends who were in the same boat.

    This is the cable to use on video cam's etc. The 4 pin to 1394 4 pin does not transfer power. The 6 Pin to 4 pin does which means your mouse will power on/off, fast forward, record and stop your camera without having to press any buttons on the camera! These cables are in the stores for as much as $40 depending on the brand name.

    The price was great, it works for what I need it for (unlike the first one I bought with the wrong connector on one end, but that was my fault), and it got to me really fast - don't know what else you could ask for - gotta love monoprice!

    Thanks for the great quality and inexpensive cost to getting this

    PROS: Solved a problem with taking on a custom project requiring me tolink up a Sony Camcorder with Digital 8 recorded tapes which now I can bring right into Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 and retain 1 for 1 resolution and quality .
