- Audio Return Channel
- Deep Color up to 16-bits per channel
- High Definition Audio, including SA-CD, DVD-Audio, DTS-HD Master Audio™, and Dolby TrueHD™
Note that Active HDMI cables are directional. Check each end for markings indicating whether it should be connected to the source or the display device. Connecting them backwards will not hurt anything, they just won't work until connected properly.
Note also that only one Active HDMI cable should be present in any single cable run, even if using a switch, splitter, or matrix. Connecting multiple active HDMI cables in series will cause them to fail to reliably transmit the video signal because each is trying to do the same thing.
TIP: It is a good idea to test cables and connections before installing them inside a wall. If there are any issues or problems, we can help you resolve them before you spend the time, effort, and expense of installing them inside the walls.

Questions and Answers
PROS: There was no signal degradation at 1080p on this 60 foot cable. I could not tell the difference in the picture between a 6-foot cable and this 60-foot cable when connected to my Oppo Blu-ray player and my Samsung flat screen TV.
CONS: Even though cable is slimmer than nost cables at this length, it is still a little stiff.
Then one night I was running some wires in my attic when I smelled some "electrical burn". I went down stairs and my tv would no longer pick up the hdmi signal. I don't think it was the hdmi wall plate, I think I may have just been surged or I have a cable tray and perhaps static electricity fried them from me pulling wires along the tray? Anyways, I lost 1 hdmi out on my receiver, one of the hdmi wallplates, the 2 cat6 cables and a right angle adapter I had.
I was going to replace it with another wall plate, but I saw this redmere stuff and thought I would try it. I wasn't super keen on running hdmi cables in the attic (I would prefer hdmi over cat6), but it happens to be a fairly long run (about 60') and I also couldn't shell out $200 for HDbaseT right now, So I got these cables as a middle ground.
I have a 10' 24awg hdmi going from my reciever in my rack to an hdmi keystone connector. Then from that I have this 60' redmere hdmi cable going to yet another hdmi keystone behind the tv (the plug is just too long and I was already pushing it with just a 60' cable). From there I have a small 1.5' 24awg hdmi cable going to a right angle hdmi adapter to the back of the tv. All of that and I still get a perfect picture. My estimate is that I'm running over 70' of hdmi with no kind of active equalizer or any other kind of equipment between the cable.
Needless to say, I am very happy with this purchase and it was worth it. I'll stick to the wall plates for shorter runs, but I have one more 60' run and I'll be using this to do it.
PROS: It just works. No sparkles (see below), no issues at all.
CONS: So far nothing.
I should have checked the 60' Ultra Slim before installing it but didnt. I installed it and could not get an audio signal. I plugged the 50' flat HDMI cable back in to be sure it wasnt something else going wrong and it worked fine, both video and audio coming through it from my PC to my A/V system.
So to sum up, very flexible cable, unfortunately no audio.
PROS: Wire size is a plus, it's not that big so its easy to get it where you need it, particularly in walls. Its not nearly as stiff as other long HDMI cables.
CONS: No audio.
PROS: did the job, we were trying to do that the cat six wires with connectors on each end would not. We had to run sixty feet through an AV amp then another 40-50 to the TV.
PROS: Works perfect - no issues.
PROS: Product was excellent .........
