Select Active Series High Speed HDMI Cable with RedMere Technology, 40ft

Reliably connect your home theater equipment to greater distances than with passive cables using this Select Active Series High Speed HDMI® Cable with RedMere® Technology from Monoprice!

This High Speed HDMI Cable supports the following general features:

    • Active signal regeneration to ensure accurate reproduction over longer distances
    • 10.2Gbps data throughput
    • CL2 in-wall fire safety rating
    • 28AWG copper conductors
    • Gold plated connectors

It supports the following HDMI features:

    • 1080p resolution at 60Hz
    • 4K resolution at 24Hz
    • 3D video
    • HDMI Ethernet Channel
    • Audio Return Channel
    • Deep Color up to 16-bits per channel
    • x.v.Color™
    • High Definition Audio, including SA-CD, DVD-Audio, DTS-HD Master Audio™, and Dolby TrueHD™

Note that Active HDMI cables are directional. Check each end for markings indicating whether it should be connected to the source or the display device. Connecting them backwards will not hurt anything, they just won't work until connected properly.

Note also that only one Active HDMI cable should be present in any single cable run, even if using a switch, splitter, or matrix. Connecting multiple active HDMI cables in series will cause them to fail to reliably transmit the video signal because each is trying to do the same thing.

TIP: It is a good idea to test cables and connections before installing them inside a wall. If there are any issues or problems, we can help you resolve them before you spend the time, effort, and expense of installing them inside the walls.

I purchased a RedMere 40ft HDMI cable. I know it supports 4K@24hz. My TV is currently a 4K@60hz. Will I still be able to watch in 4K or will it downgrade to 1080?

    40-ft Redmere HDMI cable
This cable works as advertised!. My configuration is:
Xbox, 3ft 24AWG CL2 High Speed HDMI® Cable, HDMI keystone, 40-ft redmere cable, HDMI keystone, 6ft 24AWG CL2 High Speed HDMI® Cable, LCD TV. The cable worked the first time like a charm and I've had no issues.

PROS: Slim. Easy to work thru walls and attic. Much easier than a 22-awg HDMI cable with powered extenders.

    CONS: None

    Doesn't work
Good luck. After snaking this HDMI cable through the wall, and connecting to a recently purchased Sony BDP S3100, I am now told by Monoprice tech support that it may be a chip compatibility issue. Monoprice tech support won't provide any suggestions as to which Bluray player does work, so now I have to take a gamble and buy another Blueray player with the hopes that it will work.

CONS: Not compatible with the Sony BDP S3100

    Works great!!!
Lighter cable with smaller diameter allows for more flexibility and less clutter. No signal degradation over long distance.

    PROS: Small diameter, great performance

    CONS: Unidirectional

    Long HDMI run to projector
After buying and trying 2 different 30' HDMI cables from a local cable distributor and having them not work, I called Monoprice and told them what I needed. The immediately recommended the 40' Slim Series High Speed HDMI cable w/ RedMere Technology. I order and received the cable and my problem was completely solved. I love my home theater setup!!

    PROS: Knowledge sales staff
    Product performed as advertised

Decent cables for the money, pay attention to the labels.
I purchased 2 of these to run in my attic to connect a tv to a bluray and cable box. I tested both prior to pulling the cables, both worked. Pulled them up, connected, and only 1 worked. After 30 minutes of messing with the one that didn't work, I yanked it out of the attic/walls, only for it to work once pulled down. These cables are DIRECTIONAL, not bi-directional, something I've never run into before. After coming back to this page, I saw where it's clearly written in blue that they are not bi-directional. Clearly my fault, however something I never took notice of when purchasing. Make sure you run them the correct direction when installing as they are labeled source and display and it makes a difference.

    PROS: Price, quality, looks.

CONS: They are only directional and can force you to have to pull your cables twice if not careful.

    Does what I Needed Done
Works great for me. I run it from my 3 input, 1 output switch to my TV. I have great picture quality using it.

PROS: Great length and nice male end for plugging into components. Strong enough for me to pull in through my 30 feet of conduit with 3 bends along the way. Great price as well.

CONS: None that I know of

    Very Good Quali

PROS: Thin and easy to fish through a 40 foot cable tubing in my home theater room. The picture is awesome, including 3D.

    CONS: None.

    Works Great
During remodel, ran all the low voltage (TV & computer) lines inside the walls. This item worked perfectly for the very long run from the front of the house to a tV in the back of the house. Good pricing as well. Thanks Monoprice
