1m 28AWG Internal Mini SAS 36pin (SFF-8087) Male to SAS 29pin Female & 4pin Power (SFF-8482) Cable - Black
Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) is a high-speed data storage interface designed for high-throughput and fast data access. Intended primarily for data storage centers, the SAS interface is backwards compatible with SATA. This allows the user to mix more expensive, lower-capacity SAS drives for applications that require faster data access and higher reliability, with lower-cost, higher-capacity SATA drives for applications with lower access speed requirements. Monoprice carries a full line of quality SAS cables with connectors for every possible application, both internal and external.
This 1 meter long cable uses 28 AWG conductors and is intended for internal use. It has a single 36-pin SFF-8087 male Mini-SAS plug on one end and four 29-pin SFF-8482 female SAS plugs, each with an attached 4-pin Molex 8981 female drive power plug, on the other end.

PROS: Lowest cost around for this type of part.
Performance exceeded expectations.
CONS: Wish they made one with just one connector, instead of 4.
Shipping by UPS Mail Innovations was SLOW.
Currently have a Seagate 200G SAS, WD 3TB SATA6 x2.
CONS: -No sata power (would be nice to have another PID w/ sata power connectors like http://sgcdn.startech.com/005329/media/products/gallery_large/SAS808782P50.Main.jpg )

PROS: It may be made overseas, but it's genuine and works as described.
CONS: Cables could be better protected, but Monoprice didn't make this one. So...
PROS: Works as expected.
CONS: The wire pairs to each SAS 29 pin plug are minimally protected over about half of the length of the cable. I felt it necessary to handle the cable very, very carefully to ensure that the unprotected portion of wires did not become inadvertently damaged. It seems like it would be pretty easy to nick the cable on a sharp edge inside a computer chassis.
Braided mesh sheathing protecting the full length of each pair would have made this a five star product.
