1.5ft Premier Series 1/4-inch (TS) Right Angle Male to Right Angle Male 16AWG Audio Cable (Gold Plated)
6ft Premier Series XLR Male to 1/4in TRS Male Cable, 16AWG (Gold Plated)
Monoprice’s line of Professional Audio cables brings you high performance cables at rock bottom prices. Whether you’re connecting broadcast equipment, instruments for your band or your high end entertainment system, Monoprice has the interconnect cables for you.
Balanced audio cables utilize impedance balanced lines that reduce EM and RF noise and extend the effective range of the cable run. Additionally, unlike standard unbalanced RCA interconnects that utilizes their braid as a signal return, balanced cables have a separate braided shield to provide additional resistance to interference without modulating the interference into the signal. This prevents ground loop issues.
XLR to 1/4" TRS balanced pro audio cables provide high fidelity and eliminate noise in the recording studio and on the stage. Our new Permier Series cables up the ante in terms of construction quality and performance.
- 16AWG Stranded Copper Wire Conduits.
- 97.5% Shielded Balanced Connections
- Gold Plated Connectors
- Metallic Graphite Colored Connector Housings
- Molded Strain Relief Boots.
PROS: Good quality parts and construction. Excellent price.
CONS: Cables are not wired to Audio Engineering Society (AES) standards. Tip (hot) of 1/4" plug is wired to XLR pin 3 and the ring (cold) is wired to XLR pin 2. This is backwards. This can cause signal phase and cancellation problems if these cables are used with cables that are wired properly. The 1/4" plug end of the cable is potted but fortunately the XLR end is not so the cable is easily brought up to standard by swapping the wires at pins 2 and 3.
I couldn't be happier. I'm no pro engineer but I do have a very keen ear, and in my experience there is no difference between monoprice cables and designer brands. I spend a lot of my time listening very very closely to recordings specifically trying to spot minor things, and these don't hinder me at all.
The only difference between monoprice and monster or mogami is that monoprice cables are very thick and very durable, and that gives me peace of mind.
Greater durability, equal functionality, a fraction of the price. It will be a long time before I even think about seeking another brand.
PROS: Solid quality feel. Flexible and durable. Great price, once again. You can pay more and get lousy 14" to XLR-M cables from other stores or online.
CONS: none so far
PROS: Cheap, good delivery time

PROS: Great cables, gold plated and built with rugged ends to withstand road use. I have used many cables and ordered from wholesalers online for cables. This is the best quality product I have found in this price range. I will continue to get my cables in the future from mono price. The shipping was really fast too! I was surprised to see my package at my front door 2 days after I ordered it and it was at night.
CONS: I just wish I had known about Monoprice earlier before I ordered dozens of XLR cables from another wholesaler which broke. I wish Monoprice carried more products! Looking forward to seeing what kind of audio equipment they carry in future (speakers, monitors, amps etc).
