Is this bi-directional? I am trying to go FROM HDMI (Mac laptop) TO mini HDMI (second monitor). Will it work in that direction or in any direction? Source: full HDMI Output: mini HDMI.

BEST ANSWER: As far as I know this is a bi-directional cable since it does not say "SOURCE" and "DISPLAY" on the connector ends. Like you, I am using this cable to connect my Blackmagic switcher (as a Multiview screen) or MacBook Pro to a 12" external monitor. My 12" monitor has the mini HDMI input and this cable is perfect for me. I trust it will work well for you.

I don't see why it shouln't work for your application, but I don't understand what you are asking about the cable being bidirectional..... or why it would need to be. you are still connecting an HDMI source (Mac Laptop) to an HDMI sink (second monitor). That seems like a single direction to me.

Yes. There wasn’t any specification that said it wasn’t. I’ve never used it that way but can’t see any reason why it wouldn’t. It’s just wire with no circuitry.

I have the 6 foot version of this cable and it works great! But I could really use a longer cable, perhaps 10-12 feet. Is a longer version available?

I don't think so but I would swing over and pick up a HDMI coupler and the needed length of a standard HDMI cable, that way when you don't need the long cable... Or it needs to be longer...

It doesn't work for the Raspberry pi 4.
The micro hdmi side is to big to fit on the Raspberry pi4. Was really hoping that it'll fit.
