If you want a cable that can slid under or between equipment, shelves, etc. these are great, but if you want a cable that move easily around objects, there are more flexible ones available.
PROS: Thin profile, rugged construction.
CONS: Limited flexibility in small spaces vs. straight runs.
These flat cables do not have as rigid a build as the other round cables, while still being very sturdy. As a result, the connections with the flat cables is much more secure and there is no bending at the point of connection (despite identical setup). Overall, these perform just as well as the previous cables I had, but with the added benefit of a tighter, more secure connection. Absolutely no complaints, so well deserving of a 10/10.
PROS: Less tension at point of connection, solid quality, more flexible than round cables with net jackets.
The product itself works flawlessly. That quality of the material and the way it feels is even better than those HDMI cables they sell for quadruple the price at retail stores. Yeah monster may offer a lifetime warranty on their cables, but in all honesty, how often have you heard a cable go bad, and second of all...YOU'VE ALREADY PAID THE REPLACEMENT COST if you have to warranty it. I can buy 3 of these cables and have them sit and I bet within my lifetime I won't need but one.
Don't feed into the hype folks.
The cables are not always the same, even cables from the same order look slightly different, e.g. the shape and pattern of the connector is different, and the printing on the cable is different.
The problem is that some cables have shorter plugs, the copper part that sticks out, and in some devices they do not make contact.
When you place the cables next to each other you can see the difference in plug length.
As an example, out of a recent batch of 6 cables, there were 3 different models, and only 2 models worked.
The problem is very device specific, e.g. the cables did not make contact in a Kinivo switch or a Yamaha AVR, but worked fine in a Monoprice switch and a different model Yamaha AVR.
PROS: - Great value for money.
CONS: - Not all cables are the same physical model.
- The connectors on some models are too short and does not make contact.
PROS: Appears to be of great quality. Almost too heavy however depending on how your setup out of the HDMI plug-in is. So far no issues with connection. Great price at Monoprice.
CONS: Very weighty cable. Assure that you don't put too much pressure on your connection from excessive slack.
PROS: I was happy with the speed of delivery and the price.
CONS: I'm disappointed that you don't carry a four foot cable of the above type. I had to order the next available length which is six feet. Other manufacturers have lengths between 3 and 6 feet.
