The cable did exactly what it is supposed to do.

And did not do exactly what it was not meant to do.

PROS: The cable description was well written, and described what it could and could not do.

Especially useful was the warning in capital letters explaining that it "DOES NOT CONVERT VGA"

Works perfect going "into" a HD projector with only VGA inputs. Read the description the cable does work if the VGA accepts HD input. Coming out of the Monoprice component switcher to a VGA only in Viewsonic projector works flawlessly. Giving me 720p or 1080i from cable box.

I was a little sceptical that these prices would get a quality product. I received my cable on Mon. after placing order on Fri. The cable is identical to the Sharp cable selling for $50!! Hooked it up to a $4,000 DLP Projector and the picture is Awesome!
I direct a large video production facility and this will be the ONLY place I get my cables from now on!

I was able to hook my component XBox connectors right up to my projector (specifically made for Y/Pb/Pr connections through the VGA port). Fantastic! :)

The component to vga cable worked really well. I did need to figure out to change the video input type on my projector to be component - if you don't your screen will be all green.

I used this to connect to an Epson EX71 projector, in place of the Epson ELPKC19 cable.

I bought 2 of these cables, one to go from my video card (HD15) to my Onkyo receiver (3-RCA) and the second to go from the Onkyo (3-RCA) to my Viewsonic Projector (HD15). Works Great !!! Now that I have hung my projector, I am going to buy the 25-ft version to go from my Onkyo to the projector. Thanks to MonoPrice for the great Prices, without affecting the quality.

works like a charm. hooked it up from my dvd player to my home theatre projector.

Had a Blu-ray player in my classroom but the projector I was connecting to did not have component "in", so I was forced to use the simple RCA video cable which has the worst quality of course. This connector allowed me to use the component out & connect via the VGA on the projector and it looks so much better! Thanks!

I use this to show my Wii with component video output to a Dell monitor's VGA input which specifically supports component YPbPr. My specific Dell monitor lets me go into the menu color settings and change the color input format from RGB to YPbPr (component). This is required! Most monitor don't let you do this!

If your destination device is component, this cable will only work if the destination can specifically accept RGB on those inputs.
If your destination device is VGA, this will only work cable if the destination can specifically accept component on the vga port. Rare!

CONS: This cable is useless for most people. Unless you have a device which is an exception.

Works wonderfully. Just wish Monoprice sold them with female RCA ends, but a 3-RCA coupler works well for making them female.

Not much to say - so far so good. Picture quality seems good, though it is through a projector, so I probably wouldn't notice a slight degradation of the quality anyway.

PROS: If you need to connect a DVD or Blu-ray player to a projector with VGA input than this is your ticket. Read the description and make sure your VGA input supports component signal. Works as advertised if used correctly. As usual, can't beat the price! :)

This cable works great as long as the projector you have is compatible with newer VGA input standards. Older(inexpensive) projectors VGA inputs did not have all pins utilized and this cable does not work for those.

Perfect cable between component OUT on dvd player and VGA cable to projector when used with mini gender changer (1191). Solid image and clarity.

I bought the cable to try to see if I could get a Wii to work with my monitor, even though the description said it would probably not work...

Well, the description is correct. Do not buy this cable to try that. It works well with my X2VGA2 converter, but the cable alone does nothing.

The rating is a 7 because the cable felt a little flimsy. Other than that, I am sure it works well!

Used to connect a PS3 to a projector, Video quality looks good and the cable works well

PROS: All connections fit snug, No problems with quality

CONS: On the component side, the 3 connectors come out from the main shielding and the cables for each plug are a little on the thin side. This wouldn't be for someone who beats up on their cables or needs really durable cables.

Wanted to use a computer monitor as a second display for a laptop as well as a display for a DVD player. I connected the DVD player to the monitor via the VGA to component cable. Oddly I could get a picture (with distorted colouring) on the disc menu but lost all picture during movie playback. Probably just an issue with the ancient technology in use.

PROS: A way to connect components that normally aren't compatible.

CONS: Seemingly doesn't work with all devices.

I tried to use this with my Onkyo receiver and could never get anything to display on the TV and I am a pretty tech savvy person. I have several other pieces connected to the receiver and I have also used PCs with the HDMI connection before. I am guessing the cable is DOA!!

This does not work for me. I tried to use this to connect my laptop (VGA) to my TV (component), and it did not work. I used my own s-video to connect laptop and my TV, that works fine. I dont know the problem with this cable, it just did not work for me. all the other things I ordered works fine.

This cable is completely useless! I ordered 3 of them and my intentions were simple... I wanted to plug my PC up to my TV. It looks really straightforward, the item title is "VGA to 3 RCA Component Video Cable". That means VGA/RGB computer cable to a component input which consists of a red, green, and blue cable.

Well from what I can find elsewhere on the web these kind of cables will never do what you actually want. They're not going to carry to correct horizontal sync signal that is needed. In my case I could not get ANY TYPE on picture to show on the TV.



PROS: Not a damn one.

CONS: Every red flag under the sun. Stay away! Product is junk and so is the company.
