This cable and the other two cables in this order constituted a means of relocating a couple of pieces of equipment in my home theater equipment stack. I have this hooked up to my HD OTA receiver and my projector. This cable allows me to have an ultra clear picture! My projector (Cinego RadioShack) is 854x480 so not really HD but does an amazing job when this cable is hooked up to it. I recommend this to anyone thats needs component video for there Projector.

Replaced a similar item I got from Fry's at 1/5th the price, and BETTER.

Okay, not a lot better - the one from Fry's was pretty close. Both of the cables I tested had very little shielding around the leads to the component connectors, but the quality of the picture produced by this cable is outstanding. I couldn't believe that with shipping and tax and all it was still 75% less expensive at Monoprice - great deal. Highly recommended.

PROS: I got the cable for my son and I guess it is what he needed. No complaints so far!

Tried from DVD player to projector - no signal. Tried from DVD player to computer monitor - no signal. Checked on the web...impossible without some kind of a converter.

I bought this cable to hook up an HD cable box to a projector via component outputs. It works great! It allows me to have the Weather Channel projected on my office wall, so I can stay informed about weather nationwide and how it affects my employees and clients throughout the day.

Cord worked alright but the shipping took forever. Not sure it's Monoprice's fault (possibly) or the USPS's fault (more than likely) but it took nearly a two weeks to arrive.

Just upgrade to UPS.

I was a little worried about this product when I ordered it, mainly because I wanted it for hooking up a projector to a DVD player so that I could make use of the progressive scan function of the DVD player (480p). It is hooked up to an older projector, Epson Powerlite S1 (800x600 SVGA). I had heard from a few people that it would not work and that I would have to order the adapter directly from Epson for a cost of about $79 (Canadian Funds).
The results were great and I would recommend it to anyone looking improve the resolution of their DVDs. I also plan to use it with a Blu-Ray player, as the projector is compatible with 720p (simulated, but still better than 480p).

I used this cord to go FROM a Sony blu-ray player's component video jacks INTO my Epson Powerlite 77c projector's VGA Computer/Component Video input. Works beautifully I'm able to project a 1080i near-HD quality image onto a movie screen. I use it for fun movie parties both inside and outside. Bought a similar cord from Amazon that didn't work don't know why. But this cord works, and it is WAY, WAY cheaper than the Epson ELPKC19 cord that costs around $100.

Well, I got to tell that I was not so happy about the product as I specifically consulted tech support at Monoprice to make sure that the cable will work with my PC to connect to my TV. I was given all assurance that yes the product will work, to my surprise after spending more than 10 hrs I found out that the cable will not work with my PC.....Disappointed. Now, I realize that there are limitation with my PC and TV. But I was expecting that Monoprice will provide proper guidance.

this will not connect your TV-RCA to Laptop VGA. I dont have HDMI card on my laptop so i thought this will work. It does not. you need convertor VGA/HDMI if you need to do this connection.

I used this cable to connect my DVD player (component output) to my Dell front projector (VGA input) and it works great! The cables on the component side seem thin but the picture quality is fantastic which is all that matters. PROS: This does go from VGA to RCA component.

CONS: Not the standard RCA component that TV's use. The signals are not the same TVs use YPbPr as a signal format, this cable puts out RGB.

I picked up this cable to use with my line doubler device. Previously, I was using a VGA to BNC cable coupled with RCA connectors on the BNC end to connect to my component inputs. This did not always give me a solid connection, so I wanted a straight VGA to Component cable. So far, I can't complain about this cable. The RCA jacks fit nice and snug, but not overly tight, into my TV's component inputs. The cable is also not overly rigid and taut. This is definitely a recommended cable.

As noted in the "cons" section, the RCA plugs are very large, which means these cables will NOT work on devices where the RCA connectors have little spacing/are very close together.

I purchased this to connect a device to a VGA to HDMI scaler (monoprice p/n 7110), but the RCA plugs are way too big for the spacing of the connectors on the scaler, so there's no way to use them.

Cable doesn't work for me... This cable is not Incompatible with my laptops. Description should give more details. This is not a universal cable and my laptop doesn't have the option to output YPbPr. Cable is opened and unused. Can you please issue me RMA for a return! Thanks

I bought this thinking I could hook an old PC up to an HD television. Unfortunately this is not always the case. turns out you need some fancy converting box in some cases. but THIS DOES NOT SUBTRACT FROM THE QUALITY OF THE CABLE IN ANY WAY. Monoprice would be helpful if they put an application disclaimer on this cable.
