10inch SATA 6Gbps Cable w/Locking Latch - Neon Blue
Each major revision of the Serial ATA interface specification has doubled the maximum data transfer rate. The latest SATA Revision 3.0 allows for data transfer speeds of up to 6 Gbps.
While the cables for all three revisions appear to be similar and will physically fit into the connectors on all SATA drives and controllers, the higher data transfer rate of SATA 6 Gbps requires higher quality materials and closer tolerances than the previous two revisions required.
Monoprice SATA 6 Gbps cables are certified to provide maximum speeds from your SATA system, up to 6 Gbps when used with equivalent devices and controllers.
Each end of this internal cable features a straight connector with an attached locking latch, to ensure that your connections do not come loose due to movement or vibration.
Note that SATA 6 Gbps cables are backwards compatible and can be used with SATA 3 Gbps and SATA 1.5 Gbps devices. However, the data transfer of the SATA subsystem will be limited to that of the slowest device. So, for example, if a SATA 6 Gbps cable is connected to a SATA 3 Gbps drive and a SATA 1.5 Gbps controller, the drive will be limited to a transfer rate of 1.5 Gbps.

Also, I had minor problems fitting multiple cables on my motherboard. The primary issue was that the clips stuck out too far and then interfered with the adjacent SATA connector. I was able to work around the issue by squeezing the clip down all the way before inserting the connectors.
PROS: Very inexpensive and they work.
CONS: Clips are cheap and the connectors are a bulky making fitting multiple connectors onto your motherboard a bit tricky. Personally, I'd rather pay a bit more for the cables for a higher quality, lower profile clip and connector.
But the actually connector is so thick that most motherboard will not have enough spacing between the 2 stacked SATA port for these cables to be plugged-in. I mean you say plug one in on the bottom port, but you will not be able to plug-in the second one on the top port because the of the thickness of the connector. So, may be you can plug one in at the bottom and use another cable which has a thinner connector and plug it in at the top port.
PROS: Short, if thats what you need
CONS: Will not plug into your MB's SATA port if they dont have enough gap between them
Thank you for your review and my apologies for the issues you have experienced with PID 8786. I am truly sorry for the delayed response as well, we were working on adding a few updates to our system which caused a delay in our communication.
Now in regards to your review, I will be submitting a complaint on the item as well as further product suggestions to help resolve the issue or make the product better. Now if I may ask, what model motherboard/computer are we connecting this with? We certainly do appreciate the feedback! Sorry again for the trouble and should you have any questions, feel free to contact us!

PROS: Nice and short. Inexpensive but not cheaply made.
CONS: Too bad they don't come in 6" and 8".
PROS: I bought 50 of them, the 10 inch latching ones. I'm going to glue them together and get a 500 foot cable. (10 inch x 50 = 500 feet). Then I can put my hard drive in the attic.
CONS: I just wish they came in any other color than yellow. :-(
PROS: -Good length.
-The shortest I can find, but I only got two to test out first. I already bought the red so there's no point in getting any more of these now. I may though.
-The clips are metal and they seem to work great assuming your board allows you to use them. Mine did and just love that now.
CONS: -The transparent looks cheap but they feel good.
-I hate the blue color.
-I would like to see these in red and black or anything other than blue.
-Speed is also not labeled on these either.
PROS: Short cables, great price
CONS: Locks aren't for everyone.
PROS: Works in my computer, although I haven't tested to confirm the 6gbps speeds. It's probably full speed though.
PROS: These cables look great in my tower! They connect well with the locking tab and are just the right length for my setup. Shipping came earlier than expected and they look and feel of good quality. Would buy them again if needed!
PROS: Purchasing and delivery of this item was excellent. This item i purchased was exactly what i needed and works well with my computer set up. The locking latch keeps it intact.
CONS: No Cons
