15ft Premium 3.5mm Stereo Male to 3.5mm Stereo Male 22AWG Cable (Gold Plated) - Black
The 3.5mm (1/8") stereo TRS connector is more commonly known as the Headphone Jack on portable mp3 players and mobile phones. This cable features a male 3.5mm stereo (TRS) plug on each end, with molded connector housings and strain relief boots. Each connector is gold-plated to ensure smooth, corrosion-free connections.
The cable is made of heavy-duty coaxial cable for each conductor. The conductors are 22AWG and each conductor is shield to prevent EMI or RFI interference from entering your audio system. The cable is 12mm x 6mm thick, while the connector housings are 41mm long x 15mm diameter.
Because of their size and weight these cables are best suited for more permanent connections, such as from your PC to your sound system. Also, because of the size of the connector head, these are unsuited for use with phone cases and may not fit within the expansion slot cutouts on the back of a PC case. If you want something more suitable for these applications, please try one of our standard 3.5mm audio cables.
Con: plugs were so large, that I was unable to plug in a cable to both a microphone and audio jack on my computer. Had to buy small extension at Walmart as a work-around.
Remember DVI does NOT transmit sound, only Video, while HDMI does both.
Thus you have to Plug the audio into the "PC Audio" port on the TV, and your sound card on your PC using this cable or one like it if you wish to transmit sound to the TV as well.
Seems like a professional heavy duty cable.
Plugged it in, and works like a charm. Good length.
Would recommend to anyone wanting to setup there PC to their LCD TV.
PROS: Solid. Well-made.
For my use, it is perfect (a reference audio feed when running remote webcasts on location,) but before you expect a limp flexible cable, realize this would be better for running a permanent line from your computer under a crawlspace and back up to your stereo.
These would not be easy to route through a car for MP3 connection because of the big cable diameter. They are probably 3 times thicker than most 3.5mm stereo cables. Not a negative, just a usage tip. You will not find a better built cable for the money.
PROS: Pros: Jacket thickness
Boot/strain relief quality
