1.5ft Premium 3.5mm Stereo Male to 3.5mm Stereo Male 22AWG Cable (Gold Plated) - Black
The 3.5mm (1/8") stereo TRS connector is more commonly known as the Headphone Jack on portable mp3 players and mobile phones. This cable features a male 3.5mm stereo (TRS) plug on each end, with molded connector housings and strain relief boots. Each connector is gold-plated to ensure smooth, corrosion-free connections.
The cable is made of heavy-duty coaxial cable for each conductor. The conductors are 22AWG and each conductor is shield to prevent EMI or RFI interference from entering your audio system. The cable is 12mm x 6mm thick, while the connector housings are 41mm long x 15mm diameter.
Because of their size and weight these cables are best suited for more permanent connections, such as from your PC to your sound system. Also, because of the size of the connector head, these are unsuited for use with phone cases and may not fit within the expansion slot cutouts on the back of a PC case. If you want something more suitable for these applications, please try one of our standard 3.5mm audio cables.
Unfortunately not costly enough to be worth sending back to MP.
PROS: Did not attempt to use cable. The shielding around the cable heads is extremely large, suitable for use with audio device being operated next to a full body MRI scanner.
PROS: wow! Really heavy duty! exactly what I was looking for. monoprice does it again. I would suggest the 3 foot one, 1.5 is perfect for my car but sh ould of got one of each instead o f 2 short ones.
PROS: Great quality
PROS: Thick cable, gold plated, tough construction.
PROS: good connector, takes abuse
CONS: stiff design, huge barrel
PROS: VERY heavy duty cable, large connector ends.
CONS: Too big for small items. I got this to plug my cell phone into my radio but because of the large connector ends the headphone jack doesn't go into the phone far enough and causes it to short out and crackle. I also have a slim cell phone cover on and I would have to slide it off in order to use this cable on it.
CONS: Massive cable
