Color pinout for this serial cable:

    1 DCD - Brown

    2 RD - Red

    3 TD - Orange

    4 DTR - Yellow

    5 GROUND - Green

    6 DSR - Blue

    7 RTS - Purple

    8 CTS - Grey

    9 RING - Black

4 (Yellow) and 6 (Blue) connected to the two terminals on a cw straight key in conjunction with the Monoprice 3726 USB serial adapter worked for me. Prolific PL2303 drivers are online.

PROS: Works with Monoprice item 3726 (USB to serial) to connect to a cw straight key.

Great Price for Sometimes Hard to Find Part
Nice quality cable for the price. If you can find a serial extension at a big box, it would be over-priced. I'll wait for shipping before paying those prices. Fits the bill perfectly and no regrets.

    PROS: Price

    It Works

very happy with product, and service from monoprice
as a staples EasyTech associate I refer TONS of customers to monoprice for items that we do not carry, and honestly a few that we offer at extremely high prices. this is FOR SURE one of the most needed cables out there that very few 3D stores carry anymore. i love monoprice for there service, selection, and shipping options! overnite express FTW!

    PROS: perfect quality, perfect price

CONS: it had no faults, nothing wrong with it at all, this upsets me as i like to complain about things.

Terrific! The product quality (and we've purchased several different things) is great and order/shipping turnaround is admirable. Keep up the great work!

What is not to like? MonoPrice offers solid equipment, cables and attachments at an unbeatable price.

PROS: Cables arrived in a timely fashion and as always at the best price to be found anywhere without being of shoddy manufacture.

CONS: The shipping box was broken and 1 cable was missing, but what the . . .

    Good quality, great price
There's not to much to review with a cable. It works, it's good quality, and it was a fraction of the over the counter price at [insert annoying chain electronics store name here].

    PROS: Good cable, killer price.

    CONS: None.
