If you need 3' of cable, this is the cable for you!
Works exactly as it should. Although, a word to the wise: do you really want three feet of cable? It might be more than you expect, in a small space, and like all monitor cables, it's kind of bulky. I'd suggest using a string to first measure your desired run, and find the closest length to that. I didn't end up needing three whole feet of semi-rigid cabling, but they're all like that, so just buy it and deal with it, haha. I suppose if Monoprice sells a shorter DVI cable, I should have bought that. I could have done with a 1', because I was just coupling a dongle to a cable that was already ridiculously long (Apple Studio Display). Anyway, best of luck picking. I know this review is pretty middling, but it's a great cable as cables go, and if you need three feet, this is the length for you. Although, I will say, someone needs to do something about these cables screw in. All DVI cables. How can I be expected to turn all these tiny, infuriatingly ubiquitous knobs?!?
The cables are precisely what I needed. I am running two computers through a 4 port quad display KVM switch, so I have a total of 12 cables . I needed all of the cables to be high quality so I would not suffer any signal degradation.
I purchased this cable for the purpose of achieving a higher overclock on my Korean 1440p DL-DVI monitor (QNIX QX2710, to be exact). I went with the 3 ft. cable for the shortest travel distance possible for the signal and to maximize the overclock potential. Unfortunately, this cable did not increase my overclock potential at all. A bit disappointing, but it was a small investment. No fault to Monoprice, just didn't work out for me.
