Works very well for the $$. Expected it to be lighter weight 'cause it was cheap. Not the case, worked out very well. Wire diameter is about 3/8" though, just a heads up. It's shielded well, but not as flexible as a cheap, unshielded, thin cable...
The cables are great, but beware: these are very thick and so are not as flexible as the DVI cables you may be used to. You need thicker cables for longer runs, but they pose cable management challenges if there's a tight fit at the monitor or if you have to go around corners.
This is a professional grade cable and will probably be of more use to businesses than an average home user. The cable is very thick which speaks volume of the high quality. If you are looking for the very best of cables, you cant go wrong with this one.
The DVI cable provided with my monitor was not long enough to reach my computer so I purchased this video cable to do the job. It is by far the highest quality monitor cable I have ever used, the construction and parts seem to be high quality and the cable itself is thicker than any other I've seen. Not that size equals quality necessarily however I doubt that in this case that would not be the case.
What more can I say? It's a video cable and the video output on my monitor looks great, so it does it's job just fine and monoprice.com has great prices on their products!
The time for shipping was about what I expected too so all in all this was a great purchase experience.
Purty good. Just wish i would've measured out how much I actually need. Would've gone with 10ft instead. It's also very thick, mind you i really had no idea what 24awg thickness would equate too, so i would also drop the thickness as well if I could
I thought I'd try the "higher quality" 24 AWG. This cable performs just fine, but so does the 28 AWG, so I'd have to say these are overkill for typical users. The cable is surprisingly thick and harder to fit in tight spaces than 28AWG, so on account of that and the higher price, I'm going to stick with 28 AWG.
